🕯️ Ukrainian Investigative Journalist Found Dead After Probing Corruption in Defense Construction

In Sumy, journalist Oleksandr Takhtai was found dead. He had been investigating corruption in the construction of fortifications — one of the most sensitive issues in a country fighting for survival.

After publishing his work, Takhtai received threats. In August, shots were fired at the window of his summer house, and a smoke grenade was later found in his apartment. Today, his death confirms the danger that comes with exposing theft and betrayal in wartime.

Killing a journalist is not just an attack on one person. It is an attack on the very possibility of accountability — the lifeline of democracy. If corruption can silence those who expose it, the enemy at the front is only half the danger; the other half lives within.

It's not hard to find the murderer. It's obviously from the regional authorities, who stole money instead of building fortifications. It's harder to prove guilt in a bureaucratic system, and as always, a corrupt murderer will go unpunished because of his high position and influence.

The murder of a journalist who investigated the embezzlement of funds during the construction of fortifications is an attempt to murder the entire Ukrainian people and the punishment should be immediate and severe! If I were president, I would then dismiss everyone involved in those who had access to funds and construction and conduct a truly independent investigation.

✈️ Russian Helicopter Violates Estonian Airspace — NATO Watches

Estonia has lodged a formal protest after a Russian Mi-8 helicopter illegally entered its airspace near the island of Vaindloo. The intruder had no flight plan, its transponder was switched off, and it hovered inside NATO skies for nearly four minutes before leaving. Tallinn summoned Russia’s chargé d’affaires to issue an official note of protest.

And yet — here lies the bitter truth. Russia has learned that it can test NATO’s borders with impunity. No one has the courage of Turkey in 2015, when it shot down a Russian Su-24 after a single airspace violation. Back then, Moscow learned the lesson immediately. Today, with Europe’s hesitant responses, the Kremlin only grows bolder.

International law is clear: sovereign airspace is inviolable. But history shows — if violations are met with notes instead of action, they will only escalate. Russia respects only force, never words.
