GEN. KEANE: Russia started spring and summer offensive, and failed miserably. They are losing more territory than they have ability to take, and Ukraine is on offense and retaking territory.
For the first time ever, Putin cannot replace number of casualties he's taken. In other words, he's taking more casualties than he has people to replace them, which is major turnaround in the war.
Economically, Putin's hurting, despite all of the bluster they put out at St. Petersburg Economic Conference just held recently, telling the world what great shape they are in.
It's just a bunch of hooey, saying they've had 10% growth and they're solid economically. Quite the opposite is taking place here.
Total collapse at russia's Sochi airport. Thousands of passengers have been stuck there ever since Friday's drone attack.
What’s the matter? Is your own little war getting in the way of your travel plans? 😏
The path to a Russian extremist takeover in 2027 is being paved by a glaring lack of political courage in Paris.
If France falls, it would be because Emmanuel Macron, the French government, and French regulatory agencies refused to properly sanction or even dismantle the media networks spreading hostile foreign propaganda.
Voters could soon face a nightmare runoff between Jordan Bardella and Jean-Luc Mélenchon, two figures who consistently side with Moscow over Western democracy. If these two Kremlin apologists reach the final ballot, Bardella would easily sweep into power, a scenario that would trigger a total catastrophe for French and European security.
This impending disaster is being actively fueled by institutional passivity. The French state currently permits the ex-head of sanctioned RT France to enjoy a massive platform on Vincent Bolloré’s conservative media networks. This unchecked normalization of foreign influence is amplified by outlets like Omerta and Sud Radio, which routinely pump Russian disinformation directly into the mainstream.
French authorities are dropping the ball on the biggest threat to their sovereignty. Failing to aggressively crack down on this toxic information warfare would guarantee a political collapse, but leaders can still choose to act before the election arrives.
Stand up to Bolloré or fall. The clock is ticking
Mikhail Zygar, author of several books on Russia's elite, says wealthy Russians used to tell him: maybe starting the war was a mistake, but Russia had to win.
"Nobody says that anymore. Now they just say the war has reached a dead end, and it needs to stop", he says. 6X
Russian generals told Dugin: "We need an image of victory. An image of the war. An image of the world we want to build."
Dugin replied: "We need an ideology, otherwise Russia is finished." 5/
Days later, Dugin arrived at Russia's annual economic forum in St. Petersburg.
Ukrainian drones struck the city as officials and business leaders gathered for the event. The attack damaged a warship in Kronstadt and set an oil terminal on fire. 4/
At the end of May, he wrote that Russia's current elites give the country "critically low" chances of achieving victory.
He also questioned whether those elites could even hold the country together. 3/
Dugin answered with a fantasy of Russians leaving cities for the countryside, living among "neo-ancient ruins" and connecting through an "internet of Russian villages."
Even his interviewer, Sobchak, struggled to keep a straight face. 2/
Putin's chief propagandists can no longer explain what Russia is fighting for.
Aleksandr Dugin spent decades justifying Russia's war against the West. Asked what is worth fighting for today, he failed to give a clear answer, The Atlantic. 1/
Crimeans are wondering where their gas has gone. The answer is: it's stuck in a truck park on the Kuban side of the Kerch Strait, in a giant cluster of fuel tankers, with a three-to-four day queue to cross by ferry. (Ukrainian drone operators could not be contacted to comment.)
Russia spent three years flattening Ukrainian cities with glide bombs. Ukraine now has its own.
Kyiv built the Vyrivniuvach "Equaliser" in 17 months, a 500-pound glide bomb designed to strike fortified positions and command posts, The Telegraph. 1/
