At Vine House Farm bird foods we grow and sell wild bird food on our conservation award winning farm direct to the public by mail order and our farm shop.
🎶 'Spring is an exciting time of year on the farm; at every stop on my way round feeding the birds, I can hear a Reed Bunting singing ‘zeep-zeep-zulup’. Buds are beginning to open; pairs of Mallard appear, looking for somewhere to nest.'
~ Nicholas Watts, @Vinehousefarm

Not seen any butterflies yet in the #BigButterflyCount?
While it might be disappointing, it's just as important for us to know where there aren't butterflies, as well as where there are. 🦋

Were thrilled to present @Vinehousefarm with their grand total cheque for £1549 💙
In the past 12 months, they've organized raffles, Easter campaigns, staff parties, dress-down days, and more. Huge thanks to all staff and customers for their incredible generosity!
When I joined Twitter my aim was to share everything that I do. I did bird surveys and led guided walks to raise the funds for this latest seed delivery to feed Tree Sparrows. Feeding Tree Sparrows in the breeding season increases breeding success.
Six weeks ago, this farmer in Galloway didn’t know what lapwings were. Now he’s doing everything he can to protect their nests in a grass reseed - and he’s nagging his neighbours to do likewise. There’s no “quick fix” in wader conservation, but this feels like a small victory 💪
Sadly the two smallest nuthatch ninjas couldn't complete with the larger siblings. We are now down to 5 chicks who seem to be about the same size. Their eyes are just opening. They are 2 weeks old. Fingers crossed these 5 make it. Watch them on my website :) #GwylltHollow
Have you been watching the Boot Wrens? Both male & female are now feeding at least 4 chicks.... it is an absolute delight to watch!
