That’s the part that gets me. Peter had every reason to become bitter, disappear, or decide the world wasn’t worth saving anymore. Instead, he kept helping people who would never even know his name.
Peter didn’t stay a hero because his life was good. He stayed a hero because even after everything life took from him, he refused to take that pain out on everyone else.
