This was an already messy situation that the Kawhi-raptors trade added a layer of complexity to. Reading the tea leaves, I think a big punishment is coming and the league is getting its ducks in a row for a multi-front legal battle against Ballmer and potentially the NBPA.

@worecrime @JLew1050 The second investigation point is valid but the raptors had to know a potential punishment for Kawhi would still stand regardless of which team he’s on. That’s just basic due diligence and common sense

@fix1883 @TomerAzarly Kawhi wants 60Ms+ over two seasons after this one. The clippers are understandably very reluctant to give him that. There’s a decent chance that contract becomes an albatross.

@Imman_Adan It isn’t a low ball offer. It’s a really good player, an expiring contract and an unprotected first. Kawhi is amazing but carries an exceptional amount of risk on a max contract at his age and injury history. Look at what happened to Paul George.

@APH00PS More assumption than inference, in my opinion. There have been multiple reports recently that the clippers have at least some level of interest in Ingram who was an all star last season
