पत्नी के अनैतिक संबंध की जानकारी जन रेलवे के सीनियर सेक्शन इंजीनियर जतिन को हुई तो उन्होंने अपने पुत्र की हत्या करके खुद आत्महत्या कर लिया

और जब पत्नी को यह खबर पता चली तो उसने भी आत्महत्या कर लिया

They were promising miracle-treatment through prayers and money for wedding of their children in lieu of "accepting Jesus as saviour"

Literature recovered from them shows affiliation to Assemblies of God Church of North India (AGNI) Pentecostal organisation

Anti-forced conversion laws makes such arrests possible

Along with our legal partner @NetworkforJus, we have enabled 18 intervention petitions in the matter from real victims of forced conversions from UP, MP, Rajasthan and other states

Priyanjali’s story came into light in March when she protested outside Congress office demanding suspension of three-time MLA Imran Ali Ramz for abusing her for years

Priyanjali says she was groomed when she was 17, forced into conversion despite marrying under Special Marriage Act, and then constantly threatened with second nikah and assault till she left him

The party still gave Imran the MLA ticket

He lost but, as we learnt, Priyanjali is completely broke, without support or any savings - and has been fighting multiple court cases against Imran since 2023

She fears for her life from him and has chosen to be vocal about what happened

The couple’s two sons are with her, who she saved from circumcision by putting up a major fight
