@RMC184 It’s arguable which appellation is the more prestigious or well-known, but in the end we decided we simply preferred “Shenandoah Valley, CA.”

@RMC184 Since the 2012 vintage, the wine has been 99% -100% within the Shenandoah Valley, CA appellation. We could have switched back to labeling the wine as “Shenandoah Valley, CA” but didn’t opt to do so until the 2016 vintage.

@RMC184 2016 of the first 17 vintages (1990-1997 and 1999-2006), we labeled the wine “Shenandoah Valley, CA.” From 2007-2011, we purchased grapes from out of area in excess of 15% which allow us to label the wine “Shenandoah Valley, CA.” Thus, we labeled the wine “Amador County.”
