📚 本が読みたくても読めない人向けの本を書きました

ダイヤモンド社さんから『日本一本を売る書店員が教える 本を死ぬほど面白がるコツ』を出版いたします。書き手は私、本を紹介する YouTube を運営する書店員の飯田です。

積読チャンネルでは「とにかく本を売るぞ！」と気合を入れて本を紹介してきました。そのかいもあってか、２年半で冊数にして12万冊、金額にして２億３万円の本を販売することができました。

しかし、驚いたのは「10年ぶりに本を買いました」「久しぶりに本を最後まで読みました」という言葉が寄せられることでした。

本を読む人は減っている。なんかとしてその人たちに本を届けよう。

そう考えていたのですが、想像以上にたくさんの「本を読みたい」と思っている人たちがいると知りました。そして、そんな人たちの後押しに積読チャンネルが"なぜか"なっている。

積読チャンネルを始めてから今に至るまで、その理由をずっと考えてきました。

自分はたまたま本好きの人間でした。だからこれまで言語化してこなかったけれど、どうやら自分は本を読む時の"コツ"を知っていて、それを動画内で披露していたようです。

そうした読書の捉え方やノウハウをまとめたのが、『日本一本を売る書店員が教える 本を死ぬほど面白がるコツ』です。

本を"読む"ことは、ほとんどの人ができます。日本の識字率はほぼ100%なので。

しかし、"読む"ことと"面白がる"ことは別です。

本を面白がるには技術が必要なのです。その技術を知らずに「読書が苦手」と思ってしまう人をなるべく減らしたい。

別に本を読まなくても豊かな人生は送れます。本を読むのは何も偉いことではありません。とはいえ、面白がれるものが増えることは、豊かな人生を送る一助にはなるはず。

発売は11月末ごろを予定しています。予約はすでにバリューブックスにて開始しています。
