And they talk SO rudely to furina in her story quest and get mad when they find out anyone is tied to the fatui but are also oomfs w like 70% of the harbingers u would think their opinion would be more nuanced
traveler is so weird as a character. all they do is contradict themselves like with Lyney and Lynette in the 4.0 archon quest and with liloupar in 6.6.
@EliraEclipse@kittyshinji Ok but they were way too mean and we did move on but it doesn’t change my point that traveler is very weird w their morality and who they like and dislike
@CrossMight Again “bad influence can bring out the worst” it’s not making you sympathise but you saw this and went to some level he was manipulated so some of the blame can be put on others. When this wasn’t the case before, act 4 places all 100% of the blame on him and his wife
the way I see it the screenwriter deliberately frames it in a more sympathetic light, it takes a lot of the agency in his action and places it on “people” and “abyss”. It still blames him but creates him to be more a helpless man and not power hungry man who committed genocide
@violet_sandss it is not meant for you to sympathize with him but rather a show that harming others in desperation to get something will not end well and when you realize it,it'll be too late. He lost both what he sought and harmed hundreds for nothing.
@CrossMight Columbina knows his past I’m pretty sure. Columbina blames him yes but that’s not my point. It’s the writers writing dialogue which deliberately places rerir in a more softer light than before. The whole scene felt like trying to get the viewer to feel more emotional for these 2
