@YvetteJacqR@lawhawk@FPWellman@ryanstruyk The dude who blocked an anti-lynching bill is concerned about possibly being CALLED racist🤨GTFOH. It’s pretty simple, stop BEING racist & DOING racist sh!t & then there’s nothing to call you out on. These fragile feelings can no longer be more important than human rights.
@JonesHospodTX @GregAbbott_TX @nsamuellnorman ERCOT announced that 6 power plants had gone down unexpectedly. Asked Texans to turn up their thermostats to 78 degrees for the weekend and avoid using large appliances during the hottest hours of the day.

This dumb fuck always lets you know when he has learned something new.
I’m Canadian and I knew that Eisenhower was a Five Star General who led the D-Day landing at Normandy, France.
Pete Buttigieg speaks out after the swatting incident:
"There was a police officer and a CPS worker at the door. They started talking about this allegation. They told me that I couldn't be around my children unsupervised until my children were interviewed. Our children are four years old.
We have got to agree that you do not go after people's families. Whatever you think of somebody's politics, you leave somebody's children alone."
Indigenous people and enslaved people did not come here as immigrants. But a lot of white people didn’t either. The people in Jamestown or on the Mayflower weren’t immigrants. They were settlers.
The second birthright citizenship was upheld, MAGA started talking about:
Sterilization requirements for women.
Visa denials for pregnant women.
ICE targeting pregnant women.
So when they tell you they’re pro-life and pro-women, it’s all bullshit.
I will ALWAYS remind ppl that US birthright citizenship was created for Black Americans to secure their citizenship after slavery. It's a perfect example of how laws uplifting Black America have a universal benefit in the long run.
If you are 30 minutes from giving birth and you sprint into the US, then IMO welcome to you and your newborn! You are a very impressive, dedicated, and physically accomplished lady, and I’m thrilled you’re here.
70 years ago, people like this were raging about having to let black students into their whites-only schools. 125 years ago, they were raging about the Irish and the Italians being permitted to live here. 175 years ago, they were running riot in Kansas to make it a slave state.
MAGA crashing out about how 'the founders would have never endorsed citizenship for children of illegal immigrants,' is hilarious. I mean, the founders wouldn't have endorsed the 14th Amendment at all (or the 13th, 15th or 19th). So yeah, fuck 'em. That's why we have amendments.
It’s been the law of the land for 158yrs, the Supreme Court today simply said “yep, it’s still the law of the land,” and so many voices on the right today screaming that this nation will now never be the same, that we’ll never recover from this ruling. Huh? Nothing changed today.
Today, the Supreme Court affirmed what the Constitution has said for more than 150 years: if you are born in America, you are an American citizen. Birthright citizenship has enabled families from every wave of immigration to put down roots, contribute to their communities, and strengthen our nation. The certainty of citizenship allows people to invest in their futures and fully participate in American life.
At the same time, we know that the fight to protect our fundamental rights and freedoms is not over. While today's decision is an important step in the right direction, we must continue to defend one another, our Constitution, and the promise that everyone is equal under the law.
Guess what changed after the supreme courts birthright decision?
Literally nothing. The right is acting like they just fell out of a helicopter and panicing
