Ricky Martin. This guy has been performing since a kid in the good ol’ 80s! Back when Menudo used to be one of the first successful boy bands in America. Ricky has come a long way, now being openly gay, married and with adopted kids, this multi awarded artist is a #VIPaisa. 🎤👨🏽‍🎤

Lila Downs. This mujer started her career in the late 80s but really started to blow up in the early 2000s. Mixing jazz, cumbia, folk to her molcajete music, also incorporating native Mexican languages. Winner of the Grammy award, Lila Downs is a Very Important Paisa. #VIPaisa

Danny Trejo. Here’s someone we look up to. Known for his role as superhero Machete, we’ve followed him since the days he mostly played secondary roles as a gangster in prison or a villain in some Wild West village. Now an entrepreneur — standing ovation. 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽👏🏼👏🏻

First time I noticed Salma Hayex was in the telenovela ‘Teresa’ back in Mexico. She was the babe. Also amazing playing the role of Frida Kahlo. Multi awarded actress across the border, Hayek is a true inspiration throughout the world.
