BIS certification charges a good amount to certify products:

1. Application fee: Rs 1,000
2. Processing fee: Rs 25,000 (includes one test report)
3. Every extra test report: Rs 10,000
4. Annual registration fee: Rs 1,000

Total: Rs 28,000 + tax per registration, valid for 2 years. Renewal costs the same again, and lab testing charges are on top of this.
