My first real test with Claude Opus 5.5. I had It create a Video on the History of Halloween using JavaScript, Hyperframes, @ElevenLabs for Narration and @suno for the music.
This was an app Idea I started building out with the help of ChatGPT 6 Astra and I decided to make an ad for it! Generated the 30 second intro clip with Seedance 2.5 in @higgsfield, then had Astra edit together raw footage of the app along with generated gameplay footage inside of Davinci Resolve. I then added a VO narration from @ElevenLabs and a sountrack from @suno
everyone's sharing motion graphic videos that Opus 5.5 made, and it's genuinely insane
everyone says they created it with "one prompt", but my one prompt video looked mid
so i went through a bunch of these videos to see how they were actually made, and found the workflow that works
here's how to generate pro level motion graphic videos w/ opus:
1. get reference videos to direct from -> https://t.co/CibWaQ6c9Q
pick 1-2 videos whose style you want and tell opus to match them. naming a style works way better than describing one
without a reference, opus falls back to its default look: centered text, gradient background, everything fading in
that's why so many of these videos look the same. a reference gives it the pacing, the type and the transitions to copy
2. install @HyperFrames_ or @Remotion so opus can build the video
both let opus write every scene as code and render it straight to mp4. no video editor
without one, opus can only describe a video or hand you a rough html page you have to screen record
with it, every frame is exact, and when you ask for a change it edits one line and re-renders instead of starting over
3. install @21st_dev for high quality components in the video
real buttons, cards and UI components made by design engineers, instead of whatever opus invents on the spot
without it, opus draws your product UI from scratch and it looks off. wrong spacing, placeholder boxes, fake-looking buttons
anyone who's used good software can feel it in a second, and the whole video reads as cheap
4. steps 1-3 were context + setup. now dump all of it into opus
your brand (logo, colors, fonts), screenshots of your real product, the reference video, and a quick braindump of how you see the video
then ask for 3 storyboard variants
without this, opus guesses your colors, your font and what your product even does. the video could be for any startup
with it, it could only be yours. and 3 variants means you pick a direction instead of fixing the first idea it had
5. pick the storyboard you like
ask for one still frame per scene before anything moves. fixing a storyboard is way cheaper than fixing a render
without this step, you only find out scene 4 is wrong after the whole thing is animated, and every fix means re-rendering. a still frame takes seconds to change
6. let claude cook
then give notes like a director: "slow every zoom to 0.7x", "hard cut here", "push in on the button"
without notes, the first render is usually 80% there, and that last 20% is what makes it look pro. vague notes like "make it better" get random changes. camera words get exactly the change you want
everyone has the same model. the context you give it is what makes it look pro
let it cooookk
Seedance 2.5 prompt 2:
[Generation goal]
A live-action steampunk tavern fight continues immediately from the supplied first frame. Evelyn and her mechanical owl Freddy defeat the same three bounty hunters. Use distinct camera angles and motivated cuts within one continuous scene. Show each attack, response, and resulting position clearly. Finish with Freddy back on her arm and a dry private joke.
[Reference roles]
@Image 1 is Evelyn_Freddy_Last_Frame.png. Use it as the exact opening frame, not merely a style reference. It defines the tavern, dusk lighting, camera composition, character positions, existing weapons, and all three men's identities. Preserve its actual appearance over descriptions from the earlier prompt. Do not mirror, crop, or rearrange the opening.
@Image 2 is Evelyn's character sheet. Use it only to preserve her face, hair, clothing, and crossbow design as the camera changes angles. The portrait and body views describe one adult woman. Exclude the black face masks, labels, panels, and gray background. Do not reset her pose or overwrite the opening frame.
@Image 3 is Freddy's character sheet. Use it only to preserve one mechanical owl's metal feathers, joints, talons, amber eyes, and furnace core. Preserve his scale from @Image 1. Exclude labels, panels, and the gray background.
[Opening geography and opponents]
Evelyn stands on screen left with Freddy on her left forearm and her crossbow low at her right side, matching @Image 1. The bar runs along her left. The street and airships remain beyond the open entrance.
The leader is the close-cropped man with a brass jaw brace nearest Evelyn, center-right. He receives the low blow.
The bald, bearded man behind Freddy carries the long metal club. Evelyn counters him and slams him into the bar.
The dark-haired man at far right carries the curved cleaver. Freddy attacks this man's eye area; this same man receives the crossbow bolt. Never exchange their identities or weapons.
[Stage 1: approximately 0-2 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1, @Image 2, @Image 3.
Begin exactly on @Image 1. The jaw-braced leader pushes off his rear foot and lunges at Evelyn with a committed forward step and a straight punch aimed at her face. His fist is closed and his torso drives forward with the attack. Freddy launches from her left forearm toward the dark-haired cleaver man. Hold the opening camera angle through the start of the lunge.
End state: the leader is driving forward mid-punch; Freddy is airborne toward the far-right man; Evelyn's left arm is free.
<metal wingbeats, boots scrape stone>
[Stage 2: approximately 2-6 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
Cut on the leader's forward lunge to a low three-quarter medium-wide shot, matching his momentum across the cut. Evelyn slips her head outside his incoming fist, catches the front of his coat with her left hand, and drives her knee into his groin as he closes the distance. He folds forward with a choked breath and drops to the floor. She releases him and turns toward the approaching club man. Keep the punch, counterstrike, and collapse visible in the same shot.
End state: the leader lies curled on the floor and remains out of the fight.
<dull impact, breath forced out, body hits stone>
[Stage 3: approximately 6-11 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 3.
Cut to a shoulder-height side view of Freddy and the dark-haired man beside the entrance. Freddy flares his wings, thrusts his feet forward, and makes visible physical contact with the man's face. His talon tips touch the brow and upper cheek around the eyes, then drag across that surface in one short raking stroke before lifting away. Hold the contact in the same shot, with no visible air gap between the talons and the face. The man's head recoils at the moment of contact. Only afterward does he throw his forearms over his face and stagger backward. His cleaver drops. Freddy keeps his wings beating close to the man's face, preventing him from looking toward Evelyn. Keep the face and talons unobscured during the contact. Use medium framing without detailed eye injuries or gore.
End state: the dark-haired man is disarmed and distracted near the doorway; Freddy remains airborne in front of him.
<metal feathers clatter, cleaver strikes stone>
[Stage 4: approximately 11-17 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
Cut to a waist-height side view with Evelyn, the bald club man, and the bar counter together in frame. He swings his club at her. She ducks beneath its path, redirects his attacking arm, and pivots with his forward momentum. Cut on that pivot to a low angle along the counter. She slams his upper body and face down against the wooden bar. Glasses jump at the impact. His club falls and he slides to the floor beside the bar. Her crossbow stays low at her right side throughout this exchange.
End state: the bald man is down beside the counter; Evelyn stands upright with clear space between herself and the doorway.
<club whoosh, heavy wooden thud, glasses rattle>
[Stage 5: approximately 17-20 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1, @Image 2, @Image 3.
Cut to an over-the-right-shoulder shot from behind Evelyn before she raises the crossbow. Her right shoulder and the back of her head occupy the near foreground on screen left. The dark-haired man stands beyond her on screen right, clearly visible near the doorway. She brings the crossbow up from her right side into both hands, pointing it away from the camera and directly at that man throughout the lift. The bolt rail leads from the foreground toward his face. One bolt is already seated; no reload occurs. Freddy breaks away upward and to the side, leaving a clear line between Evelyn and the target. Keep the camera behind Evelyn and let the framing settle as she takes aim. Do not use a frontal or reverse angle looking into the crossbow; she never points it toward the camera.
End state: the camera remains behind Evelyn's right shoulder; the level crossbow points away from the lens at the dark-haired man; Freddy is visibly clear of the shot; the man lowers his arms.
<crossbow mechanism clicks>
[Stage 6: approximately 20-23 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1, @Image 2, @Image 3.
Continue the same over-the-right-shoulder shot from Stage 5 without changing sides. The crossbow stays in the foreground, aimed away from the camera at the dark-haired man's face beyond it. She fires once. Cut on the string snap to a frontal medium shot of that same man, with Evelyn and her crossbow outside this new frame. The single bolt strikes square between his eyes. He falls backward out of frame. Keep the impact brief and non-graphic, without a wound close-up, blood spray, or slow-motion penetration. Freddy remains airborne above and beside the action, never in the bolt's path.
End state: all three men are down and stay down. One bolt has been fired.
<crossbow string snaps, brief impact, body falls>
[Stage 7: approximately 23-27 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1, @Image 2, @Image 3.
Cut back to an eye-level medium shot of Evelyn. She lowers the crossbow in her right hand, pointing it toward the floor, and extends her left forearm. Freddy brakes with his wings, lands on the same bracer, and folds his wings. Her elbow dips under his weight before settling. The three fallen men remain in their established locations.
End state: Freddy perches securely on Evelyn's left arm; her crossbow hangs low in her right hand.
<two wingbeats, talons click on the bracer>
[Stage 8: approximately 27-30 seconds]
Active references: @Image 2 and @Image 3.
Continue the medium shot with a small, slow push toward Evelyn and Freddy. She studies him, raises one eyebrow, and lets one corner of her mouth lift. She has one slightly heavier breath from the fight before speaking.
Evelyn speaks English with a light southern English accent, a low conversational voice, and affectionate, dry understatement: {That was you behaving, was it?}
Freddy tilts his head and gives one innocent-sounding mechanical chirp. Hold their shared look.
End state: Evelyn and Freddy remain together, relaxed and alert, with the fight over.
[Maintain consistency]
One Evelyn, one Freddy, and the same three men throughout. Do not add reinforcements. Preserve the opening frame's clothing, faces, weapon designs, bird scale, warm tavern lamps, cool exterior light, and architecture. Match action and body positions across cuts. Keep Evelyn predominantly screen left and her opponents screen right. No unexplained position changes or reversed screen direction.
The leader initiates a forward lunging punch, not an open-handed reach or grab, and remains down after the knee strike. Freddy's talons visibly contact and rake the dark-haired man's face before the man recoils and shields his eyes. The bald club man remains beside the counter after the slam. The dark-haired cleaver man is both Freddy's target and the crossbow victim. Dropped weapons stay on the floor. Show Evelyn readying, aiming, and firing the crossbow from behind her right shoulder, always pointed toward the remaining man and away from the camera. Evelyn fires exactly one bolt. Freddy returns only after the shot. Avoid extra limbs, duplicated weapons, changing faces, and anatomical injury detail.
(Distant steam machinery and restrained tavern room tone continue beneath the action. No music.)
Keep impacts, wing mechanisms, breath, and dialogue distinct. Freddy does not speak words. No extra dialogue, subtitles, titles, or logos.
Meet Evelyn and Freddy, a steampunk huntress and her mechanical owl. A quiet drink turns into a bounty hunter showdown, with Freddy lending a few well-placed talons.
Created in Seedance 2.5 using the @higgsfield API. I used character sheets for consistency, then carried the first clipβs final frame into the fight as an opening reference.

Seedance 2.5 prompt 1:
[Generation goal]
A live-action fantasy scene in one continuous take. Evelyn finishes a drink at an open-front tavern, reunites with her mechanical owl Freddy, and faces three bounty hunters. Let the affectionate exchange breathe before the threat interrupts it.
[Reference roles]
@Image 1 defines Evelyn's appearance. Use the large portrait for her face and the smaller views for her clothing and equipment. She is a young adult with short, tousled brown hair, brass goggles, worn leather armor, burgundy trousers, gloves, and tall boots. These are views of one woman. Exclude the black face masks, sheet background, labels, and panel arrangement.
@Image 2 defines Freddy, one mechanical owl. Preserve his layered dark metal feathers, copper and brass joints, amber eyes, talons, and orange furnace core. The different views show the same bird. Exclude the sheet background, labels, and panel arrangement. Scale him to perch comfortably on Evelyn's forearm, approximately 40 centimeters tall with folded wings.
[Setting and camera]
An open-front tavern overlooks a fantastical steampunk city at dusk. Beyond its stone arcade, iron bridges connect narrow towers. An airship hangs beside a distant docking mast. Steam escapes from street pipes. Warm tavern lamps illuminate Evelyn's face; cool daylight outlines her hair and shoulders. Surfaces show soot, worn leather, scratched brass, and damp stone.
Begin at eye level in a medium-wide view. Evelyn sits at the counter on screen left. The street entrance remains visible on screen right. Freddy waits on an overhead iron beam. One bartender polishes a glass behind the counter. Evelyn's crossbow hangs securely at her right hip; her bolt quiver stays on her back.
The camera makes one slow, shallow backward track throughout the scene, gradually making room for Freddy and the approaching men. Keep Evelyn's face readable. No cuts.
[Stage 1: approximately 0-4 seconds]
Active reference: @Image 1.
Evelyn takes the last measured sip from a small glass in her right hand. She watches the street over its rim. She lowers the glass and places it on the counter.
End state: the glass rests on the counter; Evelyn remains seated.
<glass touches wood>
[Stage 2: approximately 4-7 seconds]
Active reference: @Image 1.
Evelyn rises from the stool and turns toward the open arcade. Her right hand leaves the glass behind. Her crossbow stays secured.
End state: she stands beside the counter, facing three-quarters toward screen right.
<stool scrapes stone>
[Stage 3: approximately 7-12 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
Evelyn looks up toward Freddy and extends her left forearm horizontally, presenting its protective bracer.
Evelyn speaks English with a light southern English accent, a low conversational voice, and the easy familiarity of calling a trusted companion: {Freddy. Here, love.}
Freddy launches from the beam. Two firm wingbeats bring him to her arm. He flares his wings to brake, places both talons on the bracer, then folds his wings. Her elbow dips slightly beneath his weight and steadies.
End state: Freddy sits securely on her left forearm.
<metal feathers flutter, talons click against the bracer>
[Stage 4: approximately 12-18 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
Evelyn brings Freddy a little closer to her face. She notices soot on his beak, lifts one eyebrow, and rubs it away with her right thumb.
Evelyn speaks English with the same accent and voice, softly teasing, with a small smile: {Been terrorising the pigeons again?}
Freddy tilts his head and gives two short, uneven mechanical chirps. She pauses as though considering his excuse.
Evelyn speaks English, quietly amused: {Thought so.}
Freddy nudges her offered knuckle with his beak. Her smile briefly widens.
End state: they remain close, her right hand resting beside his beak.
<two metallic chirps>
[Stage 5: approximately 18-23 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
Three adult male bounty hunters approach from the street at screen right. Their leader wears a battered dark coat and a brass jaw brace. His two companions wear patched leather coats; one carries a short iron club low beside his leg.
Their boots interrupt the quiet exchange. Freddy turns his head toward them first. Evelyn follows his gaze one beat later. Her smile fades, and her right hand lowers slowly to her side.
The men stop two meters away, loosely blocking the street exit. The bartender stops polishing.
End state: Evelyn and Freddy face the three men across a clear gap.
<three sets of heavy footsteps stop>
[Stage 6: approximately 23-28 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
The leader looks directly at Evelyn. His companions remain silent and watch her hands.
The leader speaks English with a rough northern English accent, slow and matter-of-fact, without shouting: {Evelyn. There's a bounty on your head. We're here to collect.}
Evelyn holds his gaze. Her shoulders stay loose. Freddy grips the bracer and angles his metal ear tufts forward.
End state: nobody advances; Evelyn keeps Freddy perched between herself and the men.
[Stage 7: approximately 28-30 seconds]
Active references: @Image 1 and @Image 2.
Without looking away from the leader, Evelyn turns her chin slightly toward Freddy. One corner of her mouth lifts.
Evelyn speaks English in her established voice, under her breath, with dry affection: {Do try to behave.}
Freddy gives one sharp beak click. Hold the confrontation unresolved.
<single metal beak click>
[Audio and consistency]
(Quiet tavern murmur and distant steam machinery throughout. No music.)
Keep dialogue clear, naturally paced, and synchronized with the correct speaker. Freddy communicates only through movement and mechanical sounds.
Maintain one Evelyn, one Freddy, three bounty hunters, and one bartender. Preserve faces, clothing, equipment, and dusk lighting. Freddy stays on Evelyn's left forearm after landing. Her crossbow remains secured at her right hip. The glass stays on the counter. Keep the men on screen right and Evelyn on screen left. No attacks, weapon draws, extra dialogue, subtitles, labels, logos, or duplicated subjects.
Seedance 2.5 prompt:
[Goal] Finished live-action-style footage of Vala fighting Hrungnir in one continuous take. Continue the moment in @Image 7. Use the twelve-panel storyboard only to guide scene blocking, action order and the continuous camera path. Perform fresh, connected movement between its sampled moments. Hrungnir is an active opponent who tracks, defends and counters Vala. Quick probing attacks make him adjust his stance; his committed hammer miss creates the opening for her heavy strike and supported climb. Both fighters keep responding to each other. Remove idle waits while keeping the movement at natural speed.
[References] @Image 1 controls Vala's face and head only: features, freckles, grey-blue eyes, loose copper hair and winged circlet. @Image 2 controls the front costume. @Image 3 controls the rear costume and intact teal cloak. @Image 2 and @Image 3 contribute costume and silhouette only and contribute no facial features whatsoever. Her face comes from @Image 1 alone. These are three views of one woman, never three women. Exclude their studio backgrounds, catalogue lighting and neutral standing poses.
@Image 4 defines Vala's one spear: pointed aged-gold runed blade, dark ash shaft, leather grip and silver fittings. Preserve its proportions relative to her height. Exclude the product backdrop, display orientation and lighting. The blade and runes emit no light.
@Image 5 is the new three-panel Hrungnir character sheet. Its LEFT panel supplies his full-body front, CENTRE panel his full-body back, and RIGHT panel his face and head detail. All three show the SAME SINGLE giant. Match his massive torso, stone-grey skin, long matted hair, braided beard, broken anatomical RIGHT horn and intact LEFT horn, embedded broken weapons, rear leather straps, ragged hide clothing, wrist manacles, shin wraps and bare feet. The rear panel controls the back revealed during the climb. Exclude the grey studio background, panel seams, triptych layout, catalogue lighting and neutral pose. Never create multiple giants or turnarounds.
@Image 6 defines Hrungnir's one hammer: twin rectangular striking faces, corroded metal, raised winged ornament and banded metal haft. Preserve the design and scale seen with him in @Image 7. Exclude the product backdrop and lighting. His anatomical RIGHT hand controls this hammer throughout.
@Image 7 is the saved final frame of the finished Clip 11. It anchors the opening moment: Vala seen from behind in the left foreground, Hrungnir facing her farther away at centre-right, his hammer grounded between them, dead trees behind him. Match the camera height, angle, perspective, relative character scale, separation, spear guard, existing dirt and clothing condition, overcast light and cold grade. Preserve this opening action state before she advances. Extend the environment at the left and right edges for the wider composition; retain the full vertical content and do not stretch the characters. Do not transfer any interface, lettering or image borders. This opening frame takes precedence over storyboard panel 01, which already shows the run underway.
@Image 8 supplies the treeline environment, bare trees, dark earth and wider terrain revealed as the camera travels. Match its lighting and grade to @Image 7. Exclude any figures, props or markings present in the location plate. Character and prop references control the subjects; the location does not redesign them.
@Image 9 is STORYBOARD_clip12_clay_12panels_16x9.png. Read left to right across four columns, then down three rows. Panel 01: run-in. 02: light knee thrusts. 03: hammer windup and wider framing. 04: sweep and roll. 05: dirt impact. 06: passage between the legs. 07: turn toward the heel. 08: heavy heel strike. 09: recoil. 10: spear-assisted climb. 11: spear retrieval. 12: lower-back stab. These are twelve sampled moments within ONE UNBROKEN SHOT, never twelve shots or camera cuts. Ignore ALL printed storyboard timestamps. The shorter stage ranges below replace them. Preserve the action order and camera-side relationships, but allow the giant to take defensive steps, pivot, bend and resist. His frozen stance in a panel is not a pose lock. These performance instructions override static proxy poses and exact foot positions.
Use @Image 9 ONLY for relative positions, beat progression, camera-side relationships and framing landmarks. The small cloaked proxy is Vala, the large horned proxy is Hrungnir, the pole is her spear and the block-headed weapon is his hammer. Rebuild them entirely from @Image 1 through @Image 6. The storyboard supplies no appearance, anatomy, exact body proportions, material, colour, lighting, texture, facial expression or motion quality. Replace its clay bodies, segmented joints, crude hands, rigid hair, stiff cloth and placeholder trees with finished photographed subjects and the location. Correct proxy intersections and keep limbs at their natural lengths. No storyboard page, grid, gutters, labels, numbers, timestamps, split screen or clay-to-live-action transition. Every frame is finished photoreal footage.
[Style] Norse myth rendered as cold contemporary science fiction. The world is mythic; the camera is not. Nothing is romanticised, softened or made picturesque. Elysium is a commercial product and its beauty is authored, precise, and faintly too clean.
Cinematic photorealism. Shot on an ARRI ALEXA 35 with spherical prime lenses. Fine natural film grain. Soft overcast key light with gentle falloff, no hard shadows. Focus deep enough to hold the landscape behind the subject. Restrained contrast, deep blacks that keep their detail.
Colour: a cold desaturated base of grey, blue-teal and black, matching @Image 7. No warm light source: no ember, fire, orange glow or amber illumination. The spear blade retains aged gold material without emitting light. Metal is satin, never mirror-polished. Skin keeps its natural colour.
Scale comes from low horizons, low cameras and wide compositions. Maintain the relative size established in the opening frame. No lens flares, bloom, light shafts, glowing haze, saturated teal-and-orange grade, painterly look or warm golden fantasy light.
[Camera and movement] One physically continuous tracking move with a fixed spherical wide prime. Follow her approach, dolly back for the full hammer windup and evasion, then dolly forward along a curved path around the giant's flank to reveal his back. Rise gently with Vala only as she climbs. Preserve connected geography throughout this path. No cuts, hidden edits, whip-pan transitions, camera teleportation, digital zoom, slow motion or speed ramps. Keep Vala's contact points readable; the hammer, a tree or the giant's body must not completely conceal the passage between his legs or her spear work. Small framing adjustments may clarify an action obscured in a proxy panel.
[Giant performance priority] Hrungnir responds to the cause of each movement. His eyes and head track Vala first; shoulders and hips follow; a planted foot then drives a deliberate step or pivot. His heavy mass creates momentum and delayed recovery, not paralysis. Keep the chain of intention visible: he tracks her approach, withdraws the jabbed knee, loads his counterattack, catches his balance after the miss, tries to turn toward her behind him, recoils from the heel strike and tries to dislodge her as she climbs.
Small damage does not mean no reaction. The knee jabs cause defensive footwork and irritation without staggering or crippling him. The heel strike briefly compromises his balance. The final back stab produces a sharper whole-body response. Between attacks, show active breathing, changing weight over the supporting foot and hands adjusting their grip. No random swaying, marching in place, constant shivering or repetitive idle loop. Motion must follow Vala or a contact.
Generate new physical movement, not interpolation between storyboard poses. Feet lift and replant; they do not slide. Knees and hips flex under weight. Hair, clothing and chains lag behind the body and settle. Vala adjusts her reach and footing when her target moves. The hammer keeps its weight and stays in his right hand; its head may lift, drag or shift as he recovers. It is not a fixed anchor pinning the giant to one spot for the rest of the scene.
[Approximately 0-2s | Panel 01] Begin from @Image 7 and flow immediately into Vala's run without an establishing hold. She pushes toward the giant's anatomical LEFT knee with the spear in both hands. Hrungnir lowers his chin to follow her, turns his chest toward her approach and shifts onto his right leg, freeing the threatened left leg. His free left hand lowers toward her path; his right hand tightens on the hammer. The camera advances and moves slightly to the side to expose the knee and her arms. End: Vala brakes into striking range as he adjusts to meet her.
[Approximately 2-4.5s | Panel 02] Vala makes THREE light spear thrusts at the front of his left knee, withdrawing the point between contacts. Her right hand drives the rear grip and her left guides the shaft. At the first contact he bends and pulls the knee away. He replants that foot half a step back as she follows with a short advancing step. The remaining jabs make him shift his hips and turn the leg out of her line; he tracks her with his head and lowered left hand. The contacts sting but do not stagger him. His response flows straight into the counterattack preparation. End: her spear is clear of his knee and he has established a new supporting stance.
[Approximately 4.5-6.5s | Panel 03] Hrungnir plants his rear foot, turns through his hips and draws the hammer up and back with his RIGHT hand. His free left arm counterbalances the load. He keeps his attention on Vala as she takes one checking step back. The camera dollies out to hold his full body, the loaded hammer and her escape space in the same wide frame. The windup is heavy and readable, with no statue-like pause at the top. End: his torso is loaded and the hammer begins its committed swing.
[Approximately 6.5-7.7s | Panel 04] Hrungnir drives ONE broad descending hammer sweep through a 180-degree arc toward Vala's position. His supporting foot pivots, hips and chest turn, and the head accelerates behind that body action. The swing carries his weight forward. Vala pushes toward the open ground on the screen-left side of the wide view and performs ONE tucked shoulder roll clear of the attack. She retains the spear close to her body with the blade clear of her limbs. End: she clears the strike lane and the same hammer continues down; he cannot instantly reverse its momentum.
[Approximately 7.7-8.5s | Panel 05] The hammer strikes the vacated earth once. Dirt kicks outward. Hrungnir's knees compress and shoulders recoil from the stop; he makes one short corrective step to catch his balance. He immediately turns his head toward Vala and begins levering the hammer free. She finishes the roll, plants a boot and rises directly into her next push. End: she is unhit and moving again while he is visibly recovering, not frozen over the weapon.
[Approximately 8.5-11.5s | Panel 06] Vala darts toward the gap opened by his recovery step. She lowers her head and shoulders, aligns the spear with her travel and runs completely between his legs. Hrungnir follows her with his head, then starts a heavy pivot to bring his chest around. She clears the gap before his trailing foot replants, so his delayed turn leaves her behind his right leg. His right hand draws the hammer low and clear of her path; he does not make a second strike. The camera dollies in and curves around his outer flank, keeping her passage readable. End: Vala is fully behind him and he is partway through a grounded attempt to turn toward her.
[Approximately 11.5-12.5s | Panel 07] Vala plants her outside foot and turns toward the BACK of his anatomical RIGHT heel. He continues looking over his shoulder and transferring weight to complete the turn. She takes a short lateral adjustment so her spear follows the rear of the moving calf instead of aiming at its former location. The camera reaches the rear three-quarter angle. End: she is braced behind his right lower leg as that foot takes weight, with a brief opening for the heavy thrust.
[Approximately 12.5-14.5s | Panel 08] Vala draws the spear back, pushes through her rear leg and drives the blade into the back of the weight-bearing right lower leg just above the heel. Show a stronger hip drive than in the jabs. Hrungnir's turn checks at contact and the calf jerks. The shaft stops against resistance; her hands and shoulders absorb the stop. End: the blade is lodged, the shaft projects backward and upward within reach, and his interrupted turn carries directly into a balance reaction.
[Approximately 14.5-15.5s | Panel 09] Hrungnir unloads the injured right leg and catches himself with a short step of the LEFT foot. His hips shift, chest rocks back and jaw opens on a brief grunt. His right hand presses the hammer head to the ground momentarily for balance. His free left hand reaches toward the painful leg without finding Vala. She follows the embedded shaft's movement and stays close. End: he remains standing with the injured foot lowered but lightly loaded; the spear stays lodged in that same leg. There is no recovery hold before she climbs.
[Approximately 15.5-20.5s | Panel 10] Vala grips the protruding shaft, places one boot on it close to the leg and catches his rear belt or leather strap with her left hand. She pushes through the boot and pulls herself upward, keeping her weight close to him. Hrungnir reacts to the new weight: he tries to turn his head and left shoulder back toward her, makes one short balancing shuffle and gives one controlled sideways torso shake. His left hand reaches around his hip to catch her, but she climbs above its reach. She tightens her grip, pauses only to ride out the shake, then advances to the next foothold. Her position follows his moving leg and belt; she is not glued to a stationary back. The camera tracks closer and rises with them. End: her left-hand grip and braced boots support her against his rear leg and belt, and her weight is off the spear.
[Approximately 20.5-23s | Panel 11] Vala keeps her left hand on the rear strap and her boots braced against him. With her RIGHT hand she pulls the SAME spear out of his lower leg; show the blade clearing the entry point. Hrungnir feels the withdrawal, bends at the waist and twists his shoulders toward her free arm. She draws close, rides the movement and brings the freed weapon beside her body with a shorter working grip. End: she is supported on his back with the spear free in her right hand and aimed at his lower back; nothing remains lodged in the leg. He is still trying to turn and reach her.
[Approximately 23-25s | Panel 12] Vala uses the opening in his twist to brace her boots and drive the spear with her RIGHT hand into his lower back above the belt. Her LEFT hand keeps its strap grip. Hrungnir contracts sharply through his back and abdomen; his shoulders jerk and one foot steps forward to prevent a fall. She is carried with that reaction and tightens her hold. End on this living, unstable balance: Vala clinging to his moving back, the single spear lodged in his lower back, the giant breathing and trying to stay upright. End before any further action. No static victory pose, collapse, kill, dismount, throat attack or ember pickup.
(No music. Low wind through bare trees.) <Boots striking earth, Vala's hard breathing, leather and armour creaks. Three short spear contacts, the giant's uneven breath and heavy foot replants. Chain movement and one hammer rush followed by one earth impact. Soil scattering, cloth scraping through the roll. One heavier puncture, a short involuntary grunt from the giant, boot scrapes and strap strain as he resists the climb, spear withdrawal and the final impact.> No spoken dialogue, subtitles, announcer, game notification or victory sound.
[Maintain consistency] Exactly one Vala, one Hrungnir, one spear and one hammer. The giant's RIGHT hand retains the hammer. His LEFT hand tracks Vala, counterbalances and reaches for her without catching her. Grounded hammer contact is temporary; it does not freeze his stance. Maintain the same front-knee, rear-heel and back-attack relationships while allowing his small steps and pivots. Vala holds the spear in two hands for the ground attacks, retains it through the roll and run, leaves it embedded once in the rear right lower leg, retrieves it once, then uses her RIGHT hand for the lower-back stab while her LEFT supports her on his rear strap. Never duplicate, lengthen, shorten, bend, replace or teleport the spear. Preserve the broken-horn side and the giant's front-to-back costume continuity from the new sheet.
Vala's existing injuries, dirt and exhaustion persist. Her cloak, tabards and armour remain water-dark; the cloak stays intact. Her loose hair remains copper with darkened ends, not a soaked black mass. No round medallion, disc or boss on her circlet. No healing, wings, spells, glowing wounds, additional combatants or new weapons. No health bars, damage numbers, HUD, captions, logos, borders or panel graphics. Dust stays low enough to show the missed strike and recovery. All appearance follows the character, prop, opening and environment images and the Style block. The storyboard governs relative blocking, action order and continuous camera progression only. The current stage timings and responsive giant performance take priority over its original timestamps and motionless poses. No clay surfaces, mannequin anatomy, rigid puppet motion, frozen-panel holds or slideshow transitions.
For this Vala vs. the giant fight, I used GPT Astra 6 to build and animate a clay previs scene in Blender. I described the choreography and camerawork in plain language: Vala chips away at his knee with her spear, rolls beneath a sweeping hammer attack, then runs between his legs to strike from behind and begin climbing his back. The camera pulls wide to reveal his scale, then moves closer to follow her counterattack.
From that render, I extracted key frames and assembled a 12-panel storyboard covering the major beats. This gave us a clear visual plan for the blocking, action progression, and continuous camera movement. Referencing the previs video directly had caused the generated characters to copy its stiff animation, so the storyboard became a way to communicate the staging without carrying over that motion.
Finally, I used the storyboard in Seedance 2.5 within @TopviewAIhq, alongside character, weapon, and environment references, with the previous clipβs last frame anchoring the opening. The prompt treated the clay images as guides for composition and choreography. I asked Seedance to recreate the camerawork from the previs video while keeping natural movement and physical reactions.
