how to actually go seek out rejection instead of running from it
- dm somebody you're scared to dm. the fear is the compass, go toward it
- apply / pitch / ask before you feel ready. let them say no, don't say it for them
- ask for more than feels comfortable. the version of you that gets rejected for asking big is closer to the version that gets a yes
- post the thing before it's perfect. let people see it half formed
- stop softening the ask so it doesn't sting if they say no. ask it straight
- when the no comes, don't spiral, just ask what door that closed and what one it's quietly opening that you can't see yet
your nervous system will start to recognize rejection as movement instead of failure
painful realizations of YOU growing up
>the world is not fair
>intelligence is not the main driver of success (plays a role)
>fragility of time
>everyone gives you a free pass in your 20s (no expectations from society)
>figuring out what makes you feel alive = 7x quality of life
period in your life where you start to realize what it is all about and how the game is structured. if you are one of the lucky ones, you realize that life is not a linear battle but a full-on open front where you will have to take care of multiple things at once
Godfather of AI: "If you sleep well tonight, you may not have understood this lecture."
This 47-minute lecture is the best thing I saw about AI in the last few months.
It will definitely help you understand how it actually works and where it's going.
Geoffrey Hinton built the neural networks behind every AI alive, then quit Google to warn the world about it.
The part nobody wanted to hear:
> AI is already developing abilities its creators didn't intend
> in most cognitive tasks it's already ahead of us
> the question is no longer if it surpasses us but when
> the only decision left is which side of that line you're on
Right now the average person opens Claude, types something, gets an answer, closes the tab.
They think they're using AI. they're using maybe 10% of it.
I went through his entire lecture, built a practical system from what he was describing.
18 steps to actually use Claude the right way, with copy-paste prompts that work today.
