Grateful to the incredible team we put together for this project: @CterminiPhD, @biophysgal, @jpflores_31, @Viral_Joss, Esteban, and Karen❤️. You all inspire me! Also, huge thanks to friends helping to share and amplify this.
dyk that women were excluded from clinical trials until the ‘90s 🤯. This had huge consequences for women’s health. The NIH Sex as a Biological Variable policy was meant to ensure female inclusion in studies & now it appears it’s being quietly dismantled.

"The atlas moves the onus of responsibility to the organizers of seminars or search committees who can use this resource to find those scientists that they claim are not there." 📢📢📢

Excited to share I was awarded the @UWMedicine@uwlabmedpath award for Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for 2023-24.
Thank you for nominating me, @biologistbill. I don’t do this work for the recognition, but it’s nice to know people see the efforts & impact ♥️

My motivation to do science?
I was born and raised in a rural community in Oaxaca, Mexico. I was a child with no dreams because I knew I couldn't dream. 🥹
One day someone told me that I could be a scientist too.
My goal is to provide resources for those who have dreams!
@CterminiPhD Loved chatting with you!!!! 😊
Thank you for giving visibility to these issues in science! 🩷
