Polyamory will never be a substitute for cheating.
A person who cheats experiences pleasure from the deception, gains a sense of power from the neccesary manipulation.
Someone who is polyamorous is equally accountable to multiple people including themselves.
Very different.

Real love goes beyond monogamy and polyamory. You're free to be (consensually) intimate with anyone, but you're always drawn to that one person and keep your love sacred. The more freedom you have, the more committed you are. The more committed you are, the more freedom you have.

Validation from a parent is also different from a partner..the best validation you can receive is from yourself although it is seemingly less romantic
