☕️ GM! Here are the most important market events over the last 24 hours:
🌍Market Overview:
🔸 The Fed held at 3.50% to 3.75% on a 9-3 vote, with Hammack, Kashkari and Logan dissenting for a 25 basis point HIKE, the most members pushing for an increase since September 2016. September hike odds now top 57%.
🔸 Microsoft posted $90.01 billion of fiscal fourth-quarter revenue against $87.62 billion expected, and full-year Azure revenue topped $100 billion for the first time. Azure growth accelerated to 43% from 40%. #AI
🔸 The Nasdaq closed 1.74% lower at 24,442.94, more than 10% off its record and in correction, and the Dow lost 1,153.18 points. Warsh's tough talk failed to convince the bond market, where the 30-year hit 2007 highs.
🔸 Zuckerberg raised the low end of Meta's 2026 capex range by $5 billion to $130 billion to $145 billion after free cash flow shrank 90% from a year earlier. Shares fell more than 7% after hours, down 11% on the year.
🔸 Q2 GDP slowed to a 1.5% annual rate from 2.1%, but the drag was government spending, not demand, which accelerated to 3.9%. Prices ran hot: the gross domestic purchases index jumped to 5.7% from 3.6%.
🔸 OpenAI is handing academic researchers free access to its frontier models across ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex, starting with 10,000 this summer and expanding to 100,000 through 2027. #OpenAI
🪙Crypto Updates:
🔸 XRP Ledger activated its fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment on 85.71% validator support, 30 votes for and five against, making 3.2.0 the minimum release and amendment-blocking every node still below it. #XRP
🔸 Pump.fun's token graduation rate hit 6.7%, roughly 8x the June average, after BOOST began redirecting the 20% of migration liquidity that used to sit dead in the PumpSwap pool into automatic buybacks.
🔸 The Ethereum Foundation put security researcher pcaversaccio, co-founder of the SEAL 911 emergency response initiative, on its board for a one-year term, taking it to four. First addition after a year of exits. #Ethereum
🔸 MoonPay launched PayBox, a payment vault that lives inside Claude and ChatGPT and lets AI agents pay for things, covering Solana plus seven Ethereum-compatible chains and built on Coinbase's x402 protocol.
🔸 Blockaid counted 212 verified exploits in the first half of 2026, the highest half-year count on record, with more than $1.1 billion stolen. Compromised keys and signing infrastructure drained 74% of it. #crypto
🔸 Crypto held flat through last Thursday's $797 billion drop in US megacap tech and Korea's record two-day slide, which CoinDesk reads as thinning liquidity, not an equities reaction. BTC $64,100, ETH $1,905.
Big tech will spend about $698 billion building AI this year. That is almost exactly what the four big chipmakers will make from it. Good for the chipmakers.
Samsung's chip business made 99.7% of the entire company's profit last quarter. The phone business actually lost money because memory chips got too expensive. Wild.
One thing that always annoyed me about perps: you can't predict the funding cost of holding a position. On GRVT this is now shown before opening a position. Another W feature for power traders shipped by GRVT.
☕️ GM! Here are the most important market events over the last 24 hours:
🌍Market Overview:
🔸 SK Hynix grew second-quarter revenue 257% and operating profit 557% year on year, and still fell short of what analysts wanted. The stock closed 9.6% lower in Seoul after dropping as much as 15% intraday.
🔸 Iran's Revolutionary Guard fired ballistic missiles at US forces in the Middle East overnight, all intercepted according to Centcom. Brent September crude gained 3.42% to $86.97, WTI added 3.58% to $82.09.
🔸 Worry about circular AI financing, Chinese competition and the staying power of the investment cycle has the Philadelphia semiconductor index down more than 22% this month, its sixth-worst month ever. #AI
🔸 Meta handed BlackRock-managed funds an 80% stake in its $14 billion El Paso data center and kept 20%, with $12.5 billion of BlackRock's side financed by debt. AI capex is moving off the balance sheet.
🔸 Apple briefly touched a $5 trillion market cap for the first time Tuesday, reaching $342.89 before closing at $340.08. The stock is up 25% this year while Apple keeps its capex low. #Apple
🔸 Health care and financials sector ETFs closed at record highs Tuesday while the tech sector ETF hit its lowest since May 7. The Dow rose 1.03% to 52,747.32 and the Nasdaq slipped 0.22% to 24,876.91.
🪙Crypto Updates:
🔸 Zcash activated its Ironwood upgrade at block 3,428,143, sealing the Orchard shielded pool that held about 3.66 million ZEC, roughly $1.7 billion. Every coin has to be moved out by its owner. #Zcash
🔸 Trade.xyz will reimburse everyone liquidated in the $60 million cascade its SK Hynix perpetual caused. The mark price fell from about $1,128 to $917 at 23:01 UTC on July 27 on one thin Korean trade.
🔸 Core Scientific signed 15-year leases with AMD for 529 MW of US AI capacity, worth more than $14 billion in contracted revenue, while its own self-mining revenue fell 66% to $21.5 million. #AMD

Morgan Stanley's new ETH and SOL funds pass the staking rewards straight to you instead of keeping them. Cheapest option out there right now, which is good for buyers.
CENTCOM says every Iranian ballistic missile fired at US forces tonight was intercepted. Oil spiked hard on the first headlines, which came out of Iranian state media. Worth waiting for the second headline.
Over the past two months the wallets holding 1,000 to 10,000 bitcoin added about 66,700 coins. Mid sized holders sold roughly the same amount. So the coins are moving from smaller hands into bigger ones while the price sits still. I like that setup.
The bond market is getting nervous about AI. Insuring Oracle's debt against default now costs about 50% more than it did in January, and Nvidia's is at a record too. Nobody thinks these companies are going bust. Lenders just want more to hold the risk.
Thailand's regulator filed a criminal complaint saying the crypto exchange Bitkub hid a $50 million hack back in 2021. Bitkub says it stayed quiet to avoid a bank run and that customers were paid back. Five years is a long time to sit on that.
