@metallidan I know a couple people that run/work at sugaring operations. I’ve asked the same question. They told me that deer just kind of walk under/around them. Moose on the other hand just walk through them.
This morning I drove through Johnson and Jeffersonville. Seeing so many homes and businesses with all their belongings piled on sidewalks and lawns after the floods is a heartbreaking sight. #VTflood23#flooding
@metallidan Yeah, really messed up the downstream wall but luckily it’s just the outer sheathing and should be easily repaired. A few feet higher and we might have lost the entire bridge.
@MattCrawford The wife and I were talking about that today while watch it the flood waters. The flood has covered lots of corn fields in north central Vermont. That’s a lot of spring manure flowing down river!
5:45 AM update. Somehow it’s #raining harder this morning than it was yesterday. We have 3 main roads closed within 3 miles of our house because the #river#flooding breached the road…Hopefully everyone closer to the rivers are ok! #VTflood23
It’s “sunny” outside but you wouldn’t know it with all the #Canada#wildfire smoke in the air. We can usually see 3 layers of mountains from our front yard. Not today. While outside you can even smell the smoke. Awful. #smoke#wildfires#NewEngland
