@triclassified Love the show BUT very surprised to hear you agonising on the guilt of the French agents. Principal IV of Nuremberg is very clear that โjust following an orderโ is not a defence for doing something illegal. Both the agents and their superiors are 100% guilty here. No debate.
Good news indeed but Jillian Ambrose forgot to mention the planned 100 MW of coal fired powerstations they are also building in 2024

@tony_eh Don't you hate it when people who constantly bang on about close passes then filter through traffic passing very close to cars. You can't have it both ways
@lizziedearden Thanks for your excellent explanation. The problem seems to be that the slow nature of the process you describe creates a vacuum that is easily filled. Even normal people have a curiosity and desire to know whatโs going on, the refusal to give info just amplifies misinformation
@supertanskiii Its def true the Tories fcked the country but both the SNP and Liberals were screaming about a ยฃ20 billion blackhole before the election and Labour point blank refused to discuss it. They 100% knew this was coming and its disingenuous and dishonest to pretend its a surprise
@MoneySavingExp I would if there was a bus outside my house everytime I ever want to go anywhere and people on that bus didn't mind if a loaded some sheep onto it. Otherwise I'll stick to my truck, thanks.
If you think @JonathanPieNews is racist you probably need to have a word with @banksy_311 And if you think Banksy is racist you probably need to reevaluate what triggers you and focus on the real issues.
Went to listen to โฆ@RoryStewartUKโฉ new series on Ignorance on โฆ@BBCRadio4โฉ and discovered this excellent older series on #Argument . Just what we need for a social media polarised world. Thank you Rory! https://t.co/2OiI0qTZOl
Academics get funding and do research. Write up the results and send to a journal. An unpaid editor sends the work to unpaid reviewers and when its eventually accepted the publisher sells it back to the Academics for ยฃ'000s.

@slowbikeiain Excellent - love hearing about the women who also hate pointless cushions! Thanks for reminding me that its dangerous to make gender specific generalisations :-)
@slowbikeiain Comments are hilarious because the response follows broad gender lines. I like most men hate them, they are utterly pointless and even unhygienic. They get tossed to the corner of the room. Most women, including my wife, seem to like them but still can't say what they are for!
Thrilled to see Aberdeen ranked 1st in the UK for Earth Sciences and for Human Geography, and 1st in Scotland for Forensic and Archaeological Sciences based on positive responses in the NSS. A remarkable testament to our amazing students and staff! https://t.co/K8rFmSml5z
@Interlingua3@simongerman600 to half of Manhattan. It could be ok to say the base of the stratosphere is as high as Mht Island is long but they don๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝt even do that
3. Why Mht? Who assumes that the majority of folk have any idea how big Mht is?
4. Everyone knows that the standard unit of area is a Wales ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ
@Interlingua3@simongerman600 Yes! I understand what is showing, thatโs not my point. Itโs a stupid graphic for multiple reasons
1. Randomly using length of something to illustrate height is odd, especially when itโs also compared to other heights
2. The heights of the atmospheric layers are only comparedโฆ
@Interlingua3@simongerman600 Itโs not! Its pointing towards the sky. The fig is a x-section through the atmosphere with features shown to scale (in height) apart from Manhattan which is shown in plan form, whether its rotated 29 E makes no difference. The top of Manhattan is not twice the height of Everest
@Interlingua3@simongerman600 No, I see the figure as a cross section through Everest, Burj etc while the outline of Manhattan has been rotated from horizontal to vertical
