“Injustice brings about the ruin of civilization.”

Ibn Khaldun, The Muqaddimah (1377)

Empires do not fall because the people cease to fear them. They fall because their rulers become so consumed by fear of the people that cruelty becomes their only means of survival

[Shershah Khan @KhanShershah]

To those entrusted with delivering justice. Do the right thing, before it’s too late.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

الْقُضَاةُ ثَلَاثَةٌ وَاحِدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَاثْنَانِ فِي النَّار

"Judges are of three types, one of whom will go to Paradise and two to Hell."

The Prophet ﷺ went on to explain:

The first judge: Knows the truth and judges accordingly — destined for Paradise.

The second judge: Knows the truth but deliberately judges unjustly — destined for Hell.

The third judge: Judges without sufficient knowledge — destined for Hell.

Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith 3573 — Graded Sahih by al-Albani.

— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

When an empire unleashes its cruelty upon an entire nation out of fear of one man, it reveals not its strength, but the beginning of its end.

My mother, Aleema Khan @Aleema_KhanPK and my aunts, Dr Uzma Khan @DrUzma_KhanPK and Noreen Niazi @Noreen_KhanPK , remain behind bars.

Their only crime is refusing to abandon their brother, Imran Khan @ImranKhanPTI throughout his imprisonment — a detention the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention found to be arbitrary and in violation of international law, and called for his immediate release.

For three years, they have stood outside prisons and courtrooms, enduring everything from scorching heat exceeding 45°C to near-freezing conditions, demanding justice and the rule of law.

They have endured tear gas, chemical-laced water cannons, repeated arrests and relentless intimidation. Yet no amount of pressure could silence them or force them to step aside. They stood their ground. They refused to abandon their brother.

Since their latest imprisonment, they have been denied access to their family and legal counsel. They spent three years demanding justice for their brother. Now, like him, they find themselves denied the very rights they are fighting for.

Standing by their brother is not a crime.

Raising their voice for him is not a crime.

Demanding justice and the rule of law is not a crime.

Their detention must end.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Conversation with Members of his Family - Adiala Jail (July 1, 2025)

Note: This is a repost of the tweet from July 1, 2025.

“Instead of going through the formality of introducing a 27th constitutional amendment through a sham parliament, it would be better to openly declare a monarchy, because what exists today is outright dictatorship, forcibly imposed on the country.

The very foundation of Pakistan was laid on La Ilaha Illallah (There is no god except Allah), a declaration that liberates mankind from all forms of slavery. Our country was freed from British rule through immense sacrifices to establish a nation where every citizen would enjoy personal liberties. But the situation is completely the opposite. A mafia seeks to keep the entire nation enslaved. I am willing to endure solitary confinement in a dark prison cell, but I will never accept slavery. And that is my message to everyone: it is better to choose imprisonment than to live in such bondage. What is the value of freedom if, outside these walls, we are not truly free? Iqbal’s Shaheen (eagle) soars high, it does not live in servitude.

I give this call to the entire nation, especially to the workers and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf: Launch a movement after Ashura against the tyrannical system that has gripped this country. For me, death would be better than accepting a system built on slavery.

Every attempt is being made to suppress my voice so that my message does not reach the people and no one dares to stand up against oppression. But I will resist tyranny until my very last breath. I have complete faith in my Creator that this shadow of injustice will soon be lifted from Pakistan.

There are four pillars integral to any democracy: the right to vote, the rule of law, moral integrity, and a free press. The 26th Constitutional Amendment has effectively dismantled all four:

1. The Right to Vote: A dictator has no need for public mandate; he governs through force. The illegitimate assemblies formed via Forms-47, and the subsequent distribution of reserved seats, have only reinforced the perception among the people that their votes hold no value.

2. The Rule of Law: The judiciary has been reduced to a subordinate department of the government. Courts are packed with handpicked judges, while independent judges have been silenced. This is a hallmark of martial law, not democracy.

3. Moral Fabric of Society: This amendment has buried all ethical values. Individuals who are not true representatives of the people now occupy seats in the assemblies. Horse-trading of assembly members continues with impunity, and even the judiciary operates under the thumb of this mafia.

4. Free Media: Under a dictatorship, the media is bound in chains. Freedom of expression has been entirely curbed. Independent journalists are being targeted, while the rest have been bought off.

Peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic and constitutional right. Yet, 26 of our MPAs were suspended for staging a protest in the Punjab Assembly. I commend Ahmad Bhachar and all PTI MPAs who had the courage to challenge these pharaohs. Until our 26 members are reinstated, our elected representatives should hold their own assembly outside. The Form-47-based assemblies do not represent the people, in any case.”

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson Demands the Release of Imran Khan! 🚨

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has raised his voice in support of the immediate release of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Key Points from Boris Johnson:
No charges of corruption or wrongdoing have been proven against Imran Khan, yet he continues to be kept in prison.
The sole reason for keeping Imran Khan behind bars is the fear of his immense public popularity and a democratic victory.
Keeping an elderly and ailing leader imprisoned like this is pure injustice.
He has appealed to the international community and the public to join the campaign for Imran Khan’s release.

Very powerful and much needed intervention from former Prime Minister @BorisJohnson calling on Pakistan to free @ImranKhanPTI

“What the Pakistani generals fear is that if they let him out, his millions of fans in Pakistan will simply bear him aloft to a tumultuous victory in the next available election. That is why they are treating him with such cruelty – refusing even to allow his two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, to have visas to visit him in jail.”

“Imran Khan is not in jail, in solitary confinement for more than three years now because of any corruption or crime. It is because the Pakistani Generals know that if they let him out, he will be carried aloft in the next election on a wave of support to a democratic victory.”- Former British Prime Minister @BorisJohnson
