@skywarpisms "I have dealt with something similar before. An outcast. 'Weird,' as many would consider me still to this day. You may want something and continue to pursue it in this day and age, for we have lost our way. You choose your path now."
He smiles. "I'm just at the beginning."
[Mirage isn't too particularly sure about this scenario that he has placed himself in, however here he was anyways, with a drink in hand. Skywarp wouldn't know what he was thinking; that was his one saving grace.]
@skywarpisms
@skywarpisms Skywarp's chivalry wasn't going unnoticed. The kiss was soft and delicate, pulsing with nervousness when they made contact.
"If that's what you need, then so be it. Be warned, however, that this is not a straight path. There will be ups and downs."
@skywarpisms "What do you need help with?" Mirage whispered softly. Despite the fact the bar is meant specifically for for Autobots, Mirage certainly wouldn't let any Decepticons feel out of place. "I can give you anything you might need. Just say the word. Let me know, Skywarp.",
@skywarpisms "This bar is open for anyone who so wishes to be here." Mirage murmured, squeezing Skywarp's servos. "You cannot expect that others think differently of you, but you must build yourself up on those feelings. They will teach you on what needs to be taught." He smiled.
@skywarpisms "'Most mechs' don't realize that they could be in your plating one day." Mirage murmured. "I've dealth with isolation multiple times in my lifetime, and while it isn't ideal, I learned quite a lot from it. I learned that I should not let anyone's thoughts ruin who I am."
@skywarpisms "I try to be." Mirage squeezed back. This was... nice. He wasn't sure how else to consider it but nice. "But I think you will get there. You do not have to fight for survival anymore. The Lost Light is a good place. It'll do wonders for your psyche, believe me."
@skywarpisms Mirage blinks. Beautiful.
"You should. I feel more at peace with myself now that I have accepted what I am. My past will never disappear of course, but who I am won't change. I am me, no matter what I might be. Everyone should think the same."
@skywarpisms "Letting myself enjoy everything that I couldn't, even before the war." Mirage glanced to the side bashfully. "It's complicated. I've been quite a few things in my lifetime, but I now simply want to be... me. Is that so much to ask, nowadays?"
@skywarpisms "Hah. Simply because I've discarded my transgressions. I tend to lean more passive nowadays." He chuckles softly. His optics notices the way his wings hike up. A good sign, perhaps?
"I want to live my life, that is all."
@skywarpisms "That's something new. You would have never done this if the war raged on." He gave him a smile. "You have already outgrown what you once were, simply because you had given me a chance. Isn't that beautiful?"
Mirage then unclasped his servos and reached for Skywarp's.
@skywarpisms Mirage's optical ridges furrowed. It sounded like a compliment, but he couldn't help but think that there was something else lying beneath the surface.
"Tell me, Skywarp, what made you do this?" He gestured between them. "Our talk. The time in space. What brought it about?"
@skywarpisms "Simple. I see past our factions."
He clasps his hands together and hums. "See it like this– there is nothing holding us back from becoming our newest selves now that the war is over. We move on. We find ways to cope with our past behavior, as long-living species do."
@skywarpisms Mirage stood in silence, letting Skywarp take his sip. Yes, they were different, that was correct. But... "Is there a reason why that should be upsetting?"
He tilted his head. "I may have been on the 'winning team,' but I certainly questioned my loyalties."
@skywarpisms "So?" He added a few additives. Skywarp seemed the type to enjoy the sweeter drinks. Setting down Skywarp's drink, Mirage leaned down on the counter as well, staring intently at his companion.
"I am myself as well. The war is over. Things change."
What a beautiful drawing. Despite the fact this program is quite rudimentary, you were able to capture that of a martini glass perfectly. Thank you, and I apologize for the wait.
