Today is Mother’s Day. And today, more than ever, we want to say the most important word of all: thank you. Thank you for absolute love that truly knows no bounds, and for everything a mother does for her child and family.
The realities of war have changed the lives of millions of Ukrainian families. And today, Ukrainian mothers embody incredible resilience, courage, bravery, and the love that helps us endure.
Thank you to every mother for the gift of life, for believing in your children, and for your prayers, protection, and support.
@STTuutiset ”Esimerkiksi tuulivoiman osuus tuotannosta vuonna 2010 oli alle prosentin, mutta viime vuonna jo yli neljänneksen.” -> Ja juuri tästä syystä jaksaa ihmetyttää asiantuntijoiden osaselitykset korkeasta sähkönhinnasta, koska ”lavat ovat jäässä eikä tuule”.
Ei niitä varavoimaloita ehkä sittenkään olisi kannattanut räjäytellä.
Eikä turvetta olisi kenties kannattanut sittenkään valita arvalla uusiutumattomaksi, poiketen Ruotsista ja Virosta, ja ajaa tuhansia ihmisiä ulos elinkeinostaan.
Arkijärjen renessanssia odotellessa.
I spoke with the President of Finland, @alexstubb.
I am grateful for his support and for the almost daily coordination. We exchanged available information on various aspects of Russia’s position and assessments of current diplomatic prospects. I briefed Alex on what the Ukrainian delegation is preparing for in the talks in the United States, as well as the signals we have received from the American side.
This week will involve a lot of work with partners in Europe, and it is important that we all share the same view of the situation and the understanding that pressure on Russia as the sole cause of this war – not on Ukraine – can actually work for peace.
During my visit to Finland, I discussed key issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation with President Alexander Stubb @alexstubb. Naturally, our focus was on defense support and investment in our industry. Ukraine’s position remains unchanged: we are ready for mutually beneficial cooperation with all partners who truly help us.
We also discussed security guarantees and Finland’s potential contribution, the future security architecture of Europe, our European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Today, our ministers are signing a document to launch the Civil Protection Shelter Coalition. As long as Putin continues attacking our infrastructure, we must do everything to protect our people, and we are grateful to Finland for this initiative.
I also informed President Stubb on Russian disinformation regarding the situation on the Kursk front. There is no encirclement there – our troops are carrying out their missions as required for Ukraine.
In Ukraine, we deeply value our relationship with Finland – a true partnership between nations and a friendship between people. Thank you for your hospitality, for this visit – together with the First Lady of Ukraine – for our joint efforts, and for your support of our country and our people.
🇺🇦🇫🇮
At some point, there will be a border between war and peace. Where that border is drawn, and how strong it is—it’s up to us. Ukraine’s eastern border, Belarus’s eastern border, the eastern borders of the Baltic states, Finland’s eastern border. That is the strongest security line for all of us in Europe because that is the line of international law.
@alexstubb Thank you, dear @alexstubb, for your personal support and for Finland’s unwavering solidarity in our struggle. Ukraine will continue to defend lives and bring a just peace closer.
