Award-winning Visual Effects Producer & Founder of Visceral Image Productions creating 2D & 3D VFX for the giant IMAX screen, and other special venues.
You used to be funny, and quite talented with your multiple personality shtick skits on the radio. I was an avid fan in the day, but your binge drinking of alcohol, and substance abuse turned you into a blithering idiot. I knew your ex, and she had the real brains in your marriage, and knew to get away when she began noticing your transition into hell. Now, you’re just a blithering, soulless, blabbermouth on social media. So sad.
You might not remember much from the era you’re referencing, but using your 10-year-old as the measure of what’s “garbage” feels more like projecting frustration than offering insight. I grew up with analog tools and I still value them. But after studying film and animation and working in this industry for nearly 50 years, I’ve learned that staying open to new technology only strengthens our craft.
Innovation isn’t the enemy. It’s part of the evolution of the art form. Maybe try leaning into it a bit. It sets a far better example for your child—and for the next generation of artists watching us.
@minchoi Some studies suggest AI-generated content doesn’t engage both sides of the brain—it keeps us in analysis mode. Studios might embrace it for the cost savings, but it could come at the expense of real emotional connection. Curious to see how this plays out.
@Ames2420 At Asbury Park, NJ, in the 60’s it was called the Tilt-a-Whirl, and it was awesome to experience as a child, but today…I’d be doing the bootching boogie. Good times.
I'm thrilled that Cities of the Future, one of my latest IMAX film projects, won the Best Visual Effects award at the GSCA 2024 Achievement Awards in Chattanooga this week. A heartfelt thanks to my creative geniuses, Marios Kourasis and Michael Roderick, for pouring their hearts into creating spectacular 3D imagery for this awe-inspiring film. A special thanks to the GSCA delegates who voted for our body of work, and Co-Directors, Greg and Shaun MacGillivray, for trusting me and my team once again to add a little magic to another one of their incredible IMAX film productions. It’s always a privilege to collaborate with the talented team at MacGillivray Freeman Films. And a big thank you to the engineers at the American Society of Civil Engineers and Caltech for helping vet our CGI creations. Pics to follow.

@theiaincameron That’s wicked, but it’s that fisheye lens that does that. There’s actually a lot more room than that shows. I remember your video when you and my buddy Bill Dexter climbed Angel’s Landing. You even said it wasn’t as treacherous as it looked in your video.
@xRumHam@adammiller11@Kaufmayne@bytemeal@CollinRugg It doesn’t pay to engage with ignorant people with opposing agendas. The article doesn’t say, or infer she was pro Hamas. Idiots live by their own truths, which is why there’s is so much turmoil in the world today.
