Jack Kirby left Marvel for DC in 1970 because he was tired of doing all of the legwork, and receiving none of the credit.
After Jackโs passing, the Kirby estate sued Marvel for royalties of created characters, and Stan took the stand against Kirby. He was a vile man.
He wasnโt!๐
Itโs been noted from multiple sources that the artists would form 75% of the story, and then Stan would dialogue finished pages.
Pacing, story, interactions, etc. would be handled by artists, and Stan would take credit for the creations (and payment for full work).
its a little disheartening that the first thing ive drawn to get any attention has been a combo of two things that arent mine but ah well im glad that people like my little joke :+)
