Tips for buying running shoes.
1)Please do a gait analysis to understand your foot type or simply check your soles pattern.
Under pronation, over pronation or neutral.
2)I have a neutral foot and run long at a threshold of 134 BPM so I prefer stability shoes.
3)Good running shoes are in the range of 10-15k.
4)For Tempo and Speed, I would prefer shoes with more cushion, lower toe- heel drop (0-6 mm) preferably with carbon implants.
5)Most runners are heel first so toe-heel drop can be 6-12 mm
6)Flipkart will offer a 50 percent discount, most of them are fake.
7)Running shoes typically run for 800-1000 kms so if you are running only for fitness,let us say 40 km in a month, it will last for 2 years.
500 Rs per month, less than Netflix Subscription.
You decide which is more important.
8)Try running on the treadmill first before you buy, most shoe stores have a tread mill.
9)Ideally have two pairs, one for speed and tempo and one daily trainer.
10)I have personally experienced running in Decathlon and Sketchers,they are useless and not even good for grandfathers and grandmothers for walking inside their Apartment building.
