Patients at Colombo National Hospital are being turned away from life-saving dialysis because the health system has completely run out of dialyzers—even private pharmacies have none left.

Kidney patients are literally left stranded between life and death while costs skyrocket to Rs 39,000/week for those forced to seek private care.

Healthcare is a basic right, not a luxury. The government’s failure to manage critical medical supplies is costing human lives.
