Whether a joke lands or not is subjective. I found much of the humour in Jailer 1 bland. It was like a compilation of tik tok reels with the same jarring BGM flashed every 5 mins in every scene until the point you feel numb. "Staging" and framing was the saviour. Nelson redeemed himself with that.
@humandisaster13 What is this sudden obsession with Rishikanth? Are we hyping him up after 1 decent film just because he's struggling for years for a break? He is a good actor..but this whole fan simping thing is crazy weird
It's interesting in Lover that many people point out that Divya did fall in love with the charmer boy Arun because he was popular in college and the love kinda gradually faded away as his situation changed post graduation. That's unequivocally not true. Oftenย when you are stuck in a machinistic, cyclical, egalitarian system like college where we often go to the same places, meet the same people, discuss and argue over the same things, the class and caste barriers are often hidden behind a veil. Life becomes much simpler. It's a happy delusional bubble. The real inequalities surface only when we are exposed to the harsh vagaries of the outside world.
Divya's best memories from their relationship somehow ended with their college days. Arun wasn't the same after, their relationship also took a stinging turn. His family situation compounded the pressure around his job situation and his insecurity started to creep into the relationship forcing deviant behaviourial issues of assertion and control. Empathy lasts only upto a point as long as there's love.
Even while crumbling and suffocating, Divya did try to fix Arun multiple times.but the string eventually got broken beyond repair, unworthy of redemption, incapable of love again and it had to be hacked off or Divya would have drowned along with him.
Arun's biggest courage comes at a point in the movie at the beach where he accepts the gravity of his actions and embraces pain. He goes through 5 stages of grief- and recomposes himself to convince himself to move on. He manages to. That's his redemption arc.ย ย

@CelluloidConve2@SaiAbhyankkar Nallaru Po is generational. It's medicine for a wounded soul and a broken heart. It's the ultimate catharsis. Nothing can top that, sorry.
As much as I have no opinion about Rishikanth, I do believe everyone's entitled to their opinion. I have mine and I don't find him particularly interesting. He had a breakthrough after 6 years and riding a high. Deserves all praise. But, just like how you labe him as "attention seeker", I could call you "joining the trend to feel secure and cool" person.
KillSwitch is the best thing to hve come out of Zerodha. Entries, exits, SR levels, setup...everything can help you but with nodiscipline and strategy and patience, quick money can vanish as quickly as it comes. Overtrading is the villain. To control your impulses is an art. Thank you @Nithin0dha@nikhilkamathcio@zerodha@AskZerodha #zerodha #india #trading #markets #stockmarket
@CelluloidConve2 Thappu ilaye. Anarkali Marikar starrer Sulaika Manzil did the same for Mollywood. Captured Muslim commuity and customs beautifully. But it was commercially supported by good songs by Vishnu Vijay,
The core idea of #Love was chemistry vs compatibility. Wasn't this idea already explored in #Aaromaley? @CelluloidConve2 They face off trying to close a client ( true love vs pre- defined matchmaking parameters) and end up discovering not everything is quantifiable. I mean, 2 people can have the same thoughts. But freaky coincidence!
