उस कार में हमजा के साथ लाहौर हाई कोर्ट के पूर्व जज, जस्टिस नज़ीर अहमद गाज़ी भी बैठे थे। ISI अब जानबूझकर इस जज का नाम दुनिया से छुपा रही है ताकि ��नका 'आतंकी-जज गठजोड़' बेनकाब न हो।

बिहार का कुख्यात ‘कोलतार’ घोटाला और मंत्री इलियास हुसैन का पैसों से भरा बैग

1995-95 की बात है बिहार के चतरा (अब झारखंड) ज��ले में सड़क का काम चल रहा था, उसके लिए जो कोलतार या बिटुमेन लगना था वो कोलकाता की हल्दिया रिफायनरी से आना था। लेकिन बताया गया कि बिहार के उस वक़्त के सड़क निर्माण मंत्री इलियास हुसैन इंजीनियर्स और दूसरे अधिकारियों के साथ मिल कर कई टन बिटुमेन हज़म कर गए।

इलियास उन दिनों लालू के बेहद करीबी माने जाते थे और मज़ाक़ मज़ाक़ में उन्हें“कुबेर मंत्री” कहा जाता था…
बिहार पर लिखी अपनी किताब द ब्रोकेन प्रॉमिसेज़ में मृत्युंजय शर्मा बताते हैं कि इलियास हुसैन के वक्त में बिहार में सड़कें तो कम बनीं, लेकिन बिटुमिन खूब इस्तेमाल हुआ। जाहिर है, वो बिटुमिन मंत्री महोदय और उनके अधिकारियों की जेब में जा रहा था। जिन कंपनियों से इलियास हुसैन की साठगांठ थी, इलियास ��नसे पैसा लेने के लिए अक्सर दिल्ली जाया करते थे।
ये वो दौर था, जब एयरपोर्ट्स में मंत्रियों की उस तरह जाँच नहीं होती थी। इलियास भी इसका खूब फायदा उठाते थे और वो अक्सर दिल्ली से पैसों से भरे बैग लेकर पटना लौटते थे।
एक दिन ऐसे ही पैसों से भरा बैग लेकर वो दिल्ली से लौट रहे थे और जैसे ही पटना एयरपोर्ट पर उनका आगमन हुआ, इत्तेफाक से लालू यादव भी ठीक उसी वक्त दिल्ली जाने के लिए एयरपोर्ट पहुँच गए।
लालू को सामने देखकर इलियास थोड़ा झेंप गए, लेकिन लालू तुरंत माज़रा समझ गए।
उन्होने पूछा
“ए हो इलियास, बड़ा सुंदर बैग लिए हो!”
इलियास बोले — “जी, वो पालिका में खरीदे हैं।”
लालू ने पूछा — “कितने में खरीदे?”
इलियास क्या कहते- जवाब दिया, “जी, 2,000 रुपये में”
लालू तो पूरा खेल जानते ही थे, उन्होने फौरन अपने पीए से कहा —
“इलियास भाई को 3,000 रुपय��� दीजिए — 2,000 बैग का और 1,000 रुपया दिल्ली से यहां तक लाने का।”
और बैग लेकर घर भिजवा दीजिए, इलियास भाई फिर ले लेंगे।
हर कोई हंस पड़ा, लेकिन इलियास क्या करते ? खिसियानी हंसी हंस कर उन्होने बैग लालू यादव के हवाले कर दिया।
बाद में यही इलियास हुसैन करोड़ों के बिटुमिन घोटाले के सूत्रधार निकले।
नवंबर 1999 में CBI ने उन्हें इसी मामले में गिरफ्तार किया था और 22 साल तक केस चलने के बाद 2019 में उन्हें 4 साल की जेल और 2 लाख रुपये जुर्माने की सजा सुनाई गई
