Last week, some of our job seekers interning at NY SCION (Systems Change and Inclusive Opportunities Network) and Workforce1 attended the 2026 Neurodiversity Conference to expand their understanding of the neurodiversity spectrum and strengthen their professional development.

Last week, our Senior Director of Fundraising in Queens, Doreen DiLeonardo, attended the Queens Chamber of Commerce’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon. It was great connecting with community leaders, reconnecting with longtime partners, and introducing VISIONS to new supporters!

On March 7th, our Brooklyn Advisory Board came together for a wonderful Flapjack Breakfast at Applebee's Atlantic Market. The event raised over $2,800 to support VISIONS services in Brooklyn, and introduced VISIONS to many people who were not previously familiar with what we do.
Our sincerest thanks to Nandanie Appana and Jessica Rivera Baptiste for underwriting the event, to the wonderful volunteers from Medgar Evers College, to the VISIONS staff members who volunteered, to all of our attendees for coming out early on a Saturday morning.
