Hi @marksandspencer - loads of workers who routinely your Simply Food store at Belfast International Airport turned up today to find "permanently closed" without any notice whatsoever. Do you think you owed them a little bit more courtesy than this?
And why has it closed?
Resigned from the NUJ today over its statement on Jason Arday. You can’t be a union for journalists while supporting those who seek to muzzle journalism.
@GAHargan No certainly not 3 years in a row! Most observers and indeed the organisers (not to mention participants) believe that this years event was something special. I'm sure the organisers will make good decisions.
@GAHargan Indeed, I was at the Letterkenny one. Great fun and well run, however, no compaison to the scale of the event just seen in Belfast. But hey...good luck to wherever its held.
@GAHargan I think road, rail and air links do help make Dublin,Belfast,Cork,Limerick, Derry.... qualify for and event like Fleadh. the failure of NI Executive to invest in the west is another story!
@GAHargan As a native of Fermanagh I am only too aware of the lack of investment in the west. However that does not blind my realism in terms of the requirements of a major international event.
Northern Ireland population same as a single health trust in Manchester.
Yet apparently we need 5 health and social care trusts and an ambulance trust with ever increasing layers of ‘senior management’ to deliver by far the worst health outcomes in UK.
See the problem yet?
@NotThatBigIan This is sure to further undermine public confidence in the police. Is this really what senior officers want? I dont understand......unless there is political activism infecting policing?
