Kielder's birds of prey centre is open daily 10.30am to 4pm with 2 flying demos a day to the end of October. November to March 11am to 3pm, only closed on Christmas Day!

Kielder Salmon Centre is open daily 10am to 4pm to the end of September, so you have a couple of weeks left to pop in and visit.
Entry is free - learn about raising thousands of young salmon as well as rearing Fresh water pearl mussels.

Take a look at this amazing video from @ForestryEngland. It shows the footage of our 100th fledged osprey Fourlaws – both the take off and safe return to the nest half an hour later. This is an amazing milestone for these iconic birds of prey at Kielder!

Visitors are currently unable to access the Janus Chairs & Forest Head (Silvas Capitalis) on the north shore. Repairs and maintenance are needed at both sites. Good news - many of our walking & cycling routes including Lakeside Way have reopened. https://t.co/BxUER5nVqY
7 Northumberland forests and the Kielder Lakeside Way reopen fully for the first time since Storm Arwen today.
Some remain closed and are likely to do so until 2023.

Repairs have been completed at Mounces bridge, therefore the section of Lakeside Way between Kielder Waterside and Hawkhirst has reopened.
NOTE - The Lakeside Way section between Kielder Waterside and Hawkhirst has been closed while inspection work is carried out on Mounces Bridge, to the west of Kielder Waterside. Signs are in place asking visitors not to use this section. More info ill be posted when available.
