Visual Theologian is closing down shop, so this will be the last episode—until God opens another door. Thanks for being part of the journey. Till next time; #graceandpeace ✌🏾 https://t.co/GFKPccYgUV
Wouldn't you want to please our perfectly holy God by carefully observing the lines He draws concerning how He is to be worshipped?! Why is the issue of women speaking in tongues not obeyed by the church?
Whoever speaks in a tongue builds up himself. That's selfish (if that's where it ends) because focus on self is contrary to the nature of the Holy Spirit, and couldn't be further from the reason why His gifts are given!
Have you ever wondered what Paul means when he says "whoever speaks in a tongue utters mysteries in the Spirit?" That verse is greatly misused and misunderstood. Watch the full exposition here, it's long but I promise it's worth your while: https://t.co/GR3pKfD9bC
@visualtheolog Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
| Ephesians 5:15-16
One thing have I asked of the LORD,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to inquire in his temple.

Psalms 27:4
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

Philippians 3:8
@SecularOutpost The Devil is one.
Luther said, "... they do not wish to kill themselves but are overcome by the power of the devil; like a man who is murdered in the woods by a robber. However, this ought not be taught to the common people, lest Satan be given an opportunity to cause slaughter"
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Matthew 6:26
“Jesus had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.” Mark 6:34
Measure your compassion for the lost and immature by whether you feel a yearning that they receive sound teaching.
