@zodchiii Some of these break down for larger projects. `tail` is not good. --reporter=dot works better, you don't have to use `tail`.

Keep in mind that if the command has output, you're feeding it into the window. Ideal case: passing? No output. Not passing? Output.

.@bcherny question on additionalDirectories prop in settings.json.

If I specify additionalDirectories, Claude does not load the CLAUDE.md files for them.

But if I start a session with `claude --add-dir ...`, Claude loads the context files for them.

This seems inconsistent. Is that intentional?

@johnrushx The part people miss: the 6 months wasn't "saved" - it was compressed into your architecture decisions.

You're still doing 6 months of thinking. Just not 6 months of typing.

The bottleneck moved from execution to judgment.

@zachpogrob I'd go for smaller PRs going forward, but it depends on what those lines are.

Either way, keep it up! Build your pattern recognition bit by bit, and nothing will stop you.

Honestly, I don't mind shift to review much. Just different workflow to achieve the same goal, let's me stay more high-level (even more so for personal software that I can let slopify a bit).

@bcherny @NickADobos I was trying to set it up with Ghostty to get meaningful information in the notifications, and had use terminal-notifier to make it work sort of okay.

Otherwise the notifications didn't give me the session title or the project title. Ghostty issue or could it be improved in CC?

So, I built an Chrome extension with OpenCode (to try it, using CC otherwise).

Then I checked X feed and saw 3 other people having built much cooler CLI tools.
