This is the same company that milked a dead game for over a decade with GTA Online’s predatory microtransactions, shark cards, and endless FOMO.

The same company that now wants $100 for a digital code that can expire and be revoked whenever they feel like it. You’re not buying a game. You’re renting it.

Now they’re doing the exact same playbook with GTA 6 digital-first, physical “disc” that’s just a download code, Ultimate Edition paywalls for content already in the files.

CyberLeek has been leaking gameplay, the full map, flying, driving, shooting, and even footage that proves they have a playable build. And instead of fixing their own house, Rockstar goes nuclear on privacy.

@thatReppy @civxia I'm not really fond of Xiaomi as a forced Samsung user, but as far as I know, the 2023 bloatware regulations only affect Chinese ROMs. Their Global ROMs stay as is. Like on my sister's unrooted POCO X7, Mi Coin cannot be uninstalled unless using ADB for user-level uninstallation.

@thatReppy There is also an upcoming change in Android 17 that blocks you from uninstalling system apps that can't be uninstall normally via ADB. If you try to uninstall any system app, you’ll see the following console message: “Only root can delete a system app for a particular user.”

@_EvelynOctavia Not really. Minecraft is publicly available on Google Play Store, but Google's OAuth developer verification still blocked its access for everyone who tries to sign in with Google. Might be because Mojang/Microsoft f**ked something up, but this is still insane for a public app.

@MCY_CoolGuy Great! Though I would recommend you having a separate phone before continuing, as there are apps that is specifically require vendor-supplied ROM, which will stop working artificially, especially banking or government-issued apps.

If you don't use banking apps or proprietary software that explicitly requires vendor-supplied ROM, root it and install LineageOS (universal) / GrapheneOS (Pixel only)

@vncntwww The sole purpose of developer verification is to verify the developer themselves, which has nothing to do with the app. That's why even perfectly functional apps can still be blocked if it isn't originally come from the Play Store.
