It’s a decentralized record controlled by #patients—MADE FOR #DOCTORS 👩⚕️

Did you know that 1 in 5 #medical records have an error?
I would argue this # is much higher
If this happened in banking, there would be a national outcry 📢
How do we fix this? One decentralized, record controlled by #patients#healthtech#healthit#medtwitter#startups

These are hard times for many people losing their health insurance. As digital health startups, we should be advocating more for universal health care.

When we reopen society, how do we feel comfortable moving about when we cannot see, feel, touch, smell or hear the virus we hope to avoid or spread? https://t.co/uMc87fbxJm

The problem with digital health isn’t just that it’s mostly for privileged populations.
The problem is that it’s for super motivated folks.
I’ve tried a lot of these products/ apps and usually make it ~2 weeks. There isn’t enough to keep me engaged and a lot is expected of me.
In order to be able to eval and manage my patients, I have to keep 4 separate interfaces open - two radiology, current emr and one legacy EMR. Until recently it was 5 (one lab that didn't interface with the EMR). That's ridiculous.
i'm not sure how PCP get credit for med rec. 100% of the last 20 new pts to me have 1+ of following errors:
1) different doses of same med appear 2+ times.
2) "reviewed" antibiotic not filled >6 months.
3) generic and brand name both appearing
4) PRN listed w scheduled dosing
My latest piece looks at the deluge of tech companies trying to get data-sets from large health systems - and what it all means.
@AaronMiri says he used to get pitched once a quarter, and now it's "once a day or more."
@sklasko has been "inundated."
