First day being sick for teaching. I spent 2 hours at the school making comprehensive sub notes and videos for my students and I am still anxious about it
@aheze0@todayyearsold The only issue with the times table is that it relies on rote memorization rather than conceptual understanding of multiplication
Two of my students had F’s all semester so I made a deal with them. I gave them three weeks to get to a C and I would do the Griddy for them. Yesterday, I did the dance move and now the entire school has the video. Worth it
@RBReich I am graduating from my college and becoming a full time teacher this year. I only hope that I can be as impactful to at least one student as Mrs. Alice Camp was to you.
I worked harder teaching than I ever have done before. But hearing stories like that make it worth the effort.
@C0ntraryMary @itz_Vinn @POTUS That was actually what no child left behind tried to accomplish. However, that spread to high amounts of inequity tied to socioeconomic levels. Also, what would be the basis if it? Test scores? How would that affect those who teach students with IEPs?
@kylegriffin1 The concept of voter suppression such as this is unconstitutional and undemocratic. We should always make it EASIER to vote so we can have the voice of everyone in the nation
@jimdandy294@SenSanders When 40k is more than 25% less than the average starting wage for people with bachelors, it makes sense to make it competitive for once. The hope is to instill respect back into the profession and make it a viable career again.
@SenSanders One of the biggest problems in our country is that teachers are underpaid, overworked, and in a large shortage. America deserves a proper education as it is the easiest way to produce an equitable society. This is the first step to a better future for educators and children.
