Families to be relocated:
🔸 Adyar River Restoration: ~1,000 families
🔸 Parandur Airport: 1,005 families

Yet only one project was branded unacceptable.

Parandur wasn't just an airport, it was a strategic investment in Tamil Nadu's future.

📦 Strengthens Tamil Nadu's $18+ billion electronics export ecosystem.

✈️ Expands air cargo capacity for the Sriperumbudur–Oragadam manufacturing belt, home to global companies such as Apple, Foxconn, Tata Electronics, Pegatron, Dell Technologies, and others.

💰 Improves export competitiveness, lowers logistics costs, attracts fresh investments, and creates thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

The debate should have been about fair rehabilitation, not blocking infrastructure that could strengthen Tamil Nadu's economy for decades to come.

I'm seeing so many suggestions for new Head Coach for CSK. Why not DK? Once he finishes this cycle with RCB in 2027, get him ahead of the 2028 Mega Auctions with an offer he can't refuse.

- Wanted to play for CSK, but couldn't. Always had the attachment for the franchise
- Local Boy who knows Chepauk very well
- Can also double up as Batting Coach to extract the best of the young batters like he's done with RCB

🔸Late-night Metro, suburban rail and bus connectivity

🔸Private premium retail and hospitality competition

🔸Safer, walkable streets and better pedestrian infrastructure

🔸Strict enforcement against drunk driving and public nuisance

🔸A broader nightlife culture with cafés, live music, waterfront spaces and night markets

Chennai does not need to “become Bengaluru.” But it cannot continue with a restrictive 1990s-style nightlife and alcohol policy if it wants to compete globally for talent, tourism and investment.
