India enters the big 5 in manufacturing toppling South Korea. At current growth rates, even considering rupee depreciation, India will displace Japan to become the world's third largest manufacturer (> $1 trillion) by 2029.

Also,

1960: $3 billion -> 2015: $328 billion
2015: $328 billion -> 2025: $781 billion

So India has added as much in manufacturing in the last 10 years as it added in the last 70+ years.

Deeply shocking to read this official US statement, which contains absolutely no expression of regret or condolence for the loss of innocent Indian lives. How can a “friend” and strategic partner be so deeply insensitive?

Why couldn’t a non-compliant commercial vessel have been stopped using other, non-lethal means? Is it not possible to disable a ship's propulsion or steering without firing missiles targeted to kill civilian crew members?

Practically every merchant ship navigating these crucial waters has Indian crew on board. Are they all considered fair game for US missiles now?

This approach is unacceptable and I hope @DrSJaishankar had said so to @marcorubio.

Over the next few days, I will be in France and Slovakia to attend various programmes, including bilateral talks, multilateral engagements and interaction with the Indian diaspora. The focus will be on boosting economic as well as cultural linkages.

The visit will begin with programmes in Nice, notably ‘Bharat Innovates’, in which President Macron will be present. As India and France are marking the ‘India-France Year of Innovation’, ‘Bharat Innovates’ will be a vibrant platform that brings together innovators, StartUps and those related to the world of innovation.

In Nice, I will also hold talks with President Macron, where we will review the India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.

The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.

Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

It was a pleasure watching Namma Baba Kalyani’s (Neelkanth Kalyani) detailed in depth interview on CNBC. "Kalyani” surname comes from Basavakalyan, which was the capital of the Kalyani Chalukyas and Kalachuris in the 12th century. Before 1956 it was just called "Kalyani"

Founders of core industries rarely come on TV and speak at length. He covered prospects of Bharat Forge, the Flagship company of Kalyani Group, the role of R&D, defence sector growth and the latest innovations happening around the world in metallurgy for defence.

In 80s, 90s, a job at Pune in Kalyani Group or TELCO was the dream for many engineers from North Karnataka and Dakshina Kannada. The way such industries sustained and prospered over 75 yrs is a lesson in itself.

We are fortunate to live in the era of Kalyani, Tata, Birla, Kirloskar, Ambani, Mahindra..... their 1st and 2nd gen entrepreneurs who built today's India.

India shines because of visionaries like them who provided bread & butter to millions of Bharatiyaru and built Bharata from scratches. Not just industries, they pioneered Institution Building .

In the end, IT and AI are just productivity enhancers for these core industries.
