When negotiating , don’t say“my rates are…” or I charge…
say “you’re investing ₦___ in this collaboration.”
That small tweak goes a long way in your positioning.
If your goal is to get a USD ($$$) job in 2026,
Copy and paste this EXACT cover letter template:
✅ HEADER
Use your full name, phone number with country code, a professional email, and the current month + year (as seen in the attached image)
This sets the tone before they read anything.
✅ EMPLOYER DETAILS
If you don’t know the recruiter’s name, write:
The Hiring Manager
Company Name
[Remote]
This shows you understand the work structure.
✅ SALUTATION
“Dear Hiring Manager,” only.
No greetings, no emojis, no familiarity.
✅ TITLE LINE
Write it in caps and match the role name exactly as listed in the job post.
This helps both ATS and human reviewers.
✅ OPENING PARAGRAPH
Clearly state the role you’re applying for and position yourself as competent and ready for a performance-driven remote environment.
No storytelling, no begging, and no emotions.
✅ SKILLS PARAGRAPH
Highlight practical, technical, applied skills gained through training and transferable skills gained through experience (research, analysis, documentation, communication, execution).
Focus on output, not personality traits.
✅ COMPANY SPECIFIC PARAGRAPH
Explain why this organization.
Mention 1–2 concrete things (programs, initiatives, values, awards).
If it sounds generic, rewrite it.
NEVER write this paragraph with AI. Research the company in 5-10 minutes.
✅ WORK STYLE PARAGRAPH
Emphasize ownership, structure, accountability, and results.
Remote companies care more about this than enthusiasm.
✅ RELIABILITY PARAGRAPH
Mention problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, meeting deadlines, and proficiency with remote tools.
This reduces hiring risk.
✅ CLOSING PARAGRAPH
Express confidence in your ability to add value and politely invite further discussion.
No pressure, no begging and no pretense.
✅ ATTACHMENT LINE
State that your resume, portfolio, and documents are clearly labeled and attached.
✅ SIGN OFF
Use “Yours faithfully,” when you do not know the hiring manager by name.
Use “Yours sincerely,” when you know the hiring manager by name.
Then add your full name and phone number.
NOTE THAT: The cover letter gets you noticed, but it’s the proof of your work that gets you hired.

Day 80
#pitchtopaywithben
Today’s task is about taking a smarter approach to finding founders and decision-makers on LinkedIn.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Search for small companies (usually 0–20 employees).
2. Check the list of people working there, focus on founders, co-founders, and marketing or operations leads.
3. Connect with them. Aim for 5–10 companies like that.
The sweet part? Once you find a few small companies, LinkedIn will start recommending other similar ones.
Now, remember this rule:
If you want to earn in dollars, connect with people who earn in dollars.
If you want to earn in pounds, connect with people who earn in pounds.
That’s how you start seeing what they see on their feed, learning how they think, and positioning yourself in the same space.
Bonus tip:
Stalk Y Combinator pages and founder profiles many are active and approachable.
Some have already gotten funding, others haven’t. Either way, you can pitch yourself or send a cold email.
Use https://t.co/b5Fsq1S31J and number to find their emails or Whatsapp and reach out directly.
Don't stop.
Broke one will rise again.
