Today (27 June) marks the birthday of Oliver Stark. 🎉

The actor is a vocal LGBTQ+ ally and brings bisexual representation to the screen as Buck in #911onabc.

Stark posted to his Instagram Stories about the reactions to Buck’s storyline on the show in 2024, saying, “Humbled and overwhelmed by the positive reaction to Buck’s storyline. I’ve read so many of your messages and I couldn’t be prouder.”

He also addressed the negative reactions by saying, “If one other character finding a new facet to his sexuality and realising his bisexuality is your deal breaker – I fear you’ve missed the entire point of the show. You are not required to announce your departure.”

“Interpreto um personagem queer e tenho muito orgulho disso. As pessoas vêm até mim e dizem: ‘Ei, isso é legal, é algo único para mim’. Muitas histórias são sobre adolescentes se assumindo, então gostei de termos feito algo um pouco diferente, que possa ajudar alguém a se sentir representado. Eu amo essa história e fico feliz em falar sobre isso.”
