@kjy1066 @chimeraelf He's very frustrating to me, personally. I could listen to him talk for a week straight, and mostly I think his heart is in the right place. But he didn't even mention torture, even once, let alone stop rendition, he signed PROMESA, and after his Presidency he disappeared

@kjy1066 @chimeraelf You look at how the national Dems look at Puerto Rico, the most overtly colonial situation in the American scene, and you can see it. They want to statehood us so they'll have captive Democrat voters, which they assume *without ever talking to Puerto Ricans*.

@chimeraelf Did you know that when you go to the lab here, *you're* the customer, but legally, in the States, the *doctor* is the customer? You own your own data here. You can even get labs without an order, although the insurance won't cover it - but because there's competition

@chimeraelf have fond memories of the place in the 70's. They built a community radio station that carried local news, and hosted free summer camps for kids all over the south coast.

By the time we got to know them, the radio station was just an automated transmitter blasting out stuff
