@ponygirl923 I'm pretty much at a 7.
Belief is a doubt, the want for there to be a God but having no proof.
Knowledge is defined by evidence.
With the current lack of evidence, I say that I know there is no God. If God was proven real, that statement and my rating would change.
The absence of evidence is not evidence of God.
The complexity of the universe implies a cause, but that cause is not God.
Just because you want God to exist does not mean you can squeeze your fairy tale into every unknown and pretend you 'know' the answer.
Any 'former atheist' who implies science or atheism is a religion were never atheist to begin with.
And note that most of these 'former atheists' don't use scientific or well-founded arguments but rather post ridiculous memes or spout religious doctrine as their 'argument'.
Apparently, this has to be said.
Science isn't a religion.
You see, there is one fundamental difference between science and religion.
Only one needs people to believe for it to be taken as 'true'. The other is true regardless of how many people believe.
Lmao. The bible was written by humans you absolute wet flannel 😂
Even Christian’s know God himself did not write it. You do realise authors of each part of the bible can be found right?
@KristanHawkins Your view would condemn young girls and rape victims to give birth to a child they don't want or that their young bodies aren't ready for. Your view condemns suicidal women to kill themselves to escape pregnancy. You don't value life at all. You value control and power.
@KristanHawkins Don't allow forced-birther radicals to make you feel bad for wanting to protect innocent, vulnerable women who are seeking healthcare right for them.
Abortion is a medical necessity for many women, even those who want to be pregnant but are facing complications.
Support women!
@GuySeduire Gay men aren't thrown off buildings in my country. Women aren't stoned to death for looking a man in the eyes or *gasp* thinking they are equal. Genital mutilation is a crime, and children aren't raised to think that they deserve to go to hell.
Atheism works for my country.
Religious fantasy is so ridiculous that to prevent being questioned, they had to make up a word about a made-up crime. That's right, to question their stupid story is to question their made-up deity. And worse still, this 'crime' called blasphemy can result in the death penalty.
He can't answer the questions about his God, so he resorts to name-calling and trolling.
Why?
Because there is no way to explain how there can be a 'good' God who drowned the planet and yet also somehow saved it.
@Narly9999 The joys of having a relative who believes in God.
If I have to listen to more nonsense about 'how science hasn't explained something' (yet) therefore God, I might just go a little crazy!
Advert: "Have you ever wondered what would happen if you sat down and talked with missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ?"
Me: "No, I am surrounded by enough stupid already. There is no need to add to it."
@lyssasphere One is capable of thought and innovation. The other restricts thought and fights change & progress.
One encompasses the true beauty of humanity, that we are all different but still people, still human. The other segregates and encourages hate and a 'its me or them' attitude.
@RishiSunak Can we tax religious organisations? I mean, let's tax organisations that can actually afford to pay? And reduce taxes on people who can't afford to live currently, such as pensioners, veterans, single mothers, and poor families.
@ThinkingAtheist No. One of them is a baptist, I believe. Super amazing guy with a great sense of humour. Doesn't preach. He doesn't even bring it up unless we're discussing holidays and what we'll be up to during them. So, as long as he doesn't preach or lecture, I'm fine where I am!
