Masala Noir's books seem pretty cool; printed ephemera from a specific niches, but can anyone vouch for how put together they are? Some of them seem to just be compiled from images found online rather than scanned in from physical collections.

Some of them have much higher production value than others, mind. I have my eye on the Noise Graphics book, but I'm trying to be sensible about spending money on reference books these days.
Any design pals looking for work atm? Got something come in starting next week that I canโt do. Mostly Photoshop work, bit of Figma and a bit of After Effects.
You have to be at least 90% on each piece of software on that graph on your CV.
@katylcowan@creativeboom Like, there are musicians and music writers I follow on here who don't post elsewhere, there's a big fantasy football community, as well as the design world we're both part of. Still feels like I'd be missing out on something if I left, but only just.
@katylcowan@creativeboom That's probably more as a result of the algorithm changing than the people themselves, but it feels a lot harder to make and maintain connections on here than it used to. I'm still not sure if/when I'll leave, cos it's still the only one-stop shop for a lot of communities.
Following people in US cities on Strava is hilarious. Map view looks like theyโve just strolled round the corner to small Tesco and back again but then the distance is like 15km.
@LukeTurnerEsq Yeah, I keep a good feed too, and I'll miss a lot of the communities I'm part of here. What I really miss though is the "engagement" (for lack of a better word); I've made actual friends through this silly site, but people just don't seem to use it in the same way anymore.
@deanrmarsh Engagement/replies on Twitter has absolutely gone down the shitter in recent years. I think a lot of people have either completely left, or don't use it in the same way anymore. And that's a shame cos I've met so many amazing people on here.
