Thread on TN politics post the 2026 election:
After Vijay upset the Dravidian applecart, the duopoly cannot hold for long.
The DMK is organisationally stronger than the AIADMK, yet Vijay has hijacked their plank.
Breaking News: The House voted to end the war in Iran, as four Republicans sided with Democrats in a striking rebuke to President Trump. https://t.co/Oeeox0iq9q
India has sent 96 people to America who started billion dollar companies. No one else is even close.
There's only about 5 million Indians in America. Almost one in 50,000 of them is a unicorn founder!
What a holy, special, beautiful people.
I will always fight for them.
Hearing #Ilaiyaraaja talk about assisting MD Salil Chowdhury as a guitarist, and composing the Annakili song interlude to make the audience feel the rush of a river, is mind-blowing. Billboard India’s 50 Questions to Ilaiyaraaja is an absolute must-watch show for Raaja fans! ❤️
This is a wrong/feeble response to Pakistan laying claim on Harappan/IVC civilisation.
Pakistan must be posed if their culture as they practise it today is a direct descendant of Harappan mores, if not Vedic. That is it.
There is a STARK difference in the number of IVC sites betwen India & Pakistan.
Of roughly 1400 total sites:
-🇮🇳: 917 sites
-🇵🇰: 481 sites
Additionally, India has the largest (Rakhigarhi) & oldest (Bhirruna) sites along with iconic port cities in Lothal & Dholavira.
Narasu’s Coffee turns 100
“Coffee-na Narasu’s Coffee thaan… Besh Besh, romba nalla irukku.” Long before jingles became viral and brands chased influencers and social media trends, this simple line in an advertisement on television earned a place in the hearts of many people of Tamil Nadu. And now, this Salem-based brand, that became a part of the coffee culture, is celebrating its centenary.
The Narasu’s story began in 1926 with its founder, V. Lakshmi Narasimhan (fondly known as Narasu), introducing high-quality tea and coffee blends. The firm’s head office building was constructed in 1939 and inaugurated by V.V. Giri, who served as the Labour Minister during the British era and later became the President of India.

I have been an admirer of @krishnabgowda for a long time and the last few weeks have made me a bigger admirer. He has been sworn in again. BUT... I did not see him once giving a statement about the leadership change. Did not see him being part of any lobby or teams. Not once. Did not see him go to Delhi. Not one statement anything related to it. Dignified at a level which I did not consider possible in politics! 🙏🙏
All the best Chief Minister!
Get Bengaluru on par with London and New York and Karnataka on par with California (minus the homelessness).
It may take two or three decades but let the dream begin manifesting today.

And the deep reverence he has for India itself - this land which has produced such greats, he often likes to say.
He truly encapsulates Tyagaraja’s words,
Endaro mahānubhāvulu andariki vandanamulu.

One of the most humbling things about Raja Sir is:
The amount of reverence he has for those who came before him, his fellow greats.
Be it G Ramanathan or Naushad Ali or SD Burman or John Williams or Michael Jackson.
His reverence betrays his true seeking of truth in music.
