Poverty & discrimination hit hardest in tough times — and in Canada, the most vulnerable always pay the heaviest price. We can look away… or we can act.
At the @SappaniFdn, we choose action. We help BIPOC girls in Canada break cycles of poverty through education.
In our 5th year, we’ve partnered with @CNIB to create an annual award for BIPOC girls with vision loss pursuing post-secondary dreams.
Meet our 2025 recipient: Keerthana Kelly
Blind + hard of hearing, yet unstoppable.
CICE student ✓ Church & community volunteer ✓ Mentor to others ✓ Pure resilience.
She reminds us exactly why this work matters.
If your company has a CSR program, ask yourself: where can your support change lives the most?

@BDUTT I hope there is a crowdfunding and 200k Delhiites donate a buck to show solidarity. If there is a crowdfunding, please share the link. I will pitch in too.
Today, Canadians honour the memory of all who lost their lives, were injured or went missing during the Tiananmen Square crackdown on June 4, 1989. Canada stands with the survivors and the families and loved ones who continue to demand accountability.
Even more a reason why I said buy out perplexity and invest to grow while keeping it based in SFO and parallely building out and growing in chennai to eventually HQ in India . Building from scratch fully in India is a play catch up game that will never get done and talent pool is in SFO now not India .
IMHO in a long list of to dos for India this is not on the top, but I think India needs to invest deep and big into its own AI. And or acquire someone through PPP . India getting mythos is great but will be foolish to hand over keys to US. Maybe buy out perplexity. Good valuation and best use of money , take 51-70% equity
@UpdatesChennai Privatized with strong regulatory control is the way to go. The wholesale should be govt controlled and stores must buy 100% through the govt controlled wholesale only. Hope we can have Bangalore type elite stores. Now they are charging Rs 20 and cash only in most tasmac elite.
No, Canada should stay calm and ignore the insults. The US is our largest trading partner and we are attached at the hip. The US needs Canada and its Americans paying the tariffs. Trump tantrums will go, so will he. Canada-US relations should remain strong.
The buck stops at the PM. @MarkJCarney is polling at 50% the historical highest and trying to end pandering politics that is brining 3rd world conflicts to Canadian cities . He is truly the greatest PM in recent Canadian times. These MPs should be thankful to him but yes speaking up is good.
BREAKING: New reporting from @althiaraj reveals growing internal tension within the Liberal caucus, with MPs alleging that Prime Minister @MarkJCarney is tightly centralizing power and reacting harshly to internal dissent. 👇🧵 (1/5)
India has sent 96 people to America who started billion dollar companies. No one else is even close.
There's only about 5 million Indians in America. Almost one in 50,000 of them is a unicorn founder!
What a holy, special, beautiful people.
I will always fight for them.
The reason for the markets taking a dip is not for domestic reasons and more intangible but the good things is FII sell off is absorbed by domestic investors and when rebound happens millions of Indians will see the gain. It is tough times only if you are looking to sell or on margin and it is good times for those looking to buy and hold . IMHO Modi is doing a good job considering the geo political situation.
Canadian politicians should respect that of other countries too. Alberta politicians support Khalistan, Tamil Eelam and all global separatist/terrorist movements, calling it freedom of speech. One set of rules for Canada and another for others? @PierrePoilievre@MarkJCarney
Or we can find a middle path that’s best for Canadians- form a EU style economic union between canada and US with no tariffs , no barriers on trade, one currency, citizens can work freely ( canada will then tighten citizens laws too) , Canadians will win with better products, prices and service
If Canada joins the USA we can finally ditch the British Monarchy.
We get U.S. currency and a booming economy.
We get the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
We ditch multiculturalism (very important).
English is the only official language.
What's not to love?
🇨🇦🤝🇺🇲
We need a " Immigrants for Free Alberta Movement" If the free Alberta movement is about joining the US as 51st state, then lot of immigrants will vote Yes for it. Then Pierre can be the Governor of Alberta and Prime minister of Khalistan . @RiseOfAlberta you need to learn about vote pandering from CPC in AB and use it to your advantage.
Canadian politicians will say one thing in a synagogue at 10am and the opposite at 11am in a mosque. Foreign feudal tribal conflicts were exploited for vote pandering by Liberals and overlooked that Canada is among the largest terrorist fundraising bases for Khalistanis, Tigers, and Islamists in the Western Hemisphere. To his credit @MarkJCarney has moved away largely from it and doing what’s best for canada over what’s historic vote pandering practice . Rae , Ignatieff didn’t do it , Trudeau was the worst and Pierre has matched him now .
PM Carney tells immigrants to leave behind the feuds of their homelands:
"We don't welcome the world's hatreds"
"When you come to Canada you bring your faith, your tradition, your language, your story - you leave behind your animosities"
Jews are leaving Canada because of rising antisemitism.
Palestinians are coming to Canada because there's rising antisemitism in Canada.
Welcome to modern Canada.
We saw one and we were lucky :) heard from many they didnt . We missed seeing a second one because there was a safari jeeps line-up and took us 45 mins to literally move 30 meters. Needs better regulation of movement so that everyone can enjoy. Yala has the highest concentration of leopards in the world, but too crowded. I saw more accidentally in Jim corbett buffer zone than in yala :) so far Kanha in MP is my favourite in Asia.
Udawalawe National Park in Srilanka is home to 400 + wild elephants and we saw about 18 of them ; the best elephant safari in Asia . Not crowded and was leisurely .peacocks, crocodiles, water buffalo, sambar deer, monitor lizards & lots more animals & birds you can see here .
@aravind We did both Udawalawe and Yala national park. Udawalawe was way better experience. Yala is too crowded and too much hype. This trip was mainly for kids. Also interesting conversation with ppl as we went around on current state of politics in SL, will share that separately.
