I spoke with @eucopresident and thanked him for the EU's comprehensive support since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, including yesterday's agreement on the 13th package of EU sanctions against Russia. This sends the proper signal to the rest of the world.
We discussed the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border. I emphasized that we are prepared for consultations with the goal of quickly and fairly resolving the situation.
I informed @charlesmichel of Ukraine's progress in completing the four legislative steps required for the European Commission's March 2024 report.
We both agreed on the importance of quickly approving the negotiation frameworks required for the practical start of Ukraine's EU accession negotiations, as agreed upon last December.
We also discussed the preparations for the 25th Ukraine-EU summit.
Another massive Russian air attack against our country. Six regions came under enemy fire. All of our services are currently working to eliminate the consequences of this terror.
In Mykolaiv, dozens of houses were destroyed and one person was killed. More than ten people were injured in Kyiv, and two have been reported dead as of now. There may be people underneath the rubble. Some communications, including high-voltage cables, were damaged in the capital. Work is currently underway to repair everything as soon as possible.
Two people were injured in Kharkiv, and one was rescued. Rescuers are currently on the scene in the Lviv region.
My condolences to all who have lost loved ones. We will definitely retaliate against Russia; terrorists will always face the consequences of their actions.
I am grateful to all of our medics, rescuers, and utility workers. I thank everyone who cares about our country and saves and assists people.
Russia launched this war on the Ukrainian front, but its goal is not only Ukraine or our country's independence.
This is why it is critical to maintain the maximum consolidation of the free world and do everything possible and impossible to ensure Ukraine's ability to inflict defeats on Russia. This is the only language Moscow understands.
We continue to work with partners to impose sanctions on Russia, disrupt Russian sanctions evasion schemes, and make every effort to confiscate frozen Russian assets in various jurisdictions. I am grateful to everyone who assists us in seizing Russian assets.
