🚨 Reality of Banks these days: Come Early. Sit Late. Performance Doesn’t Matter.

A Regional Manager (RM) once complained to a Branch Manager in a PSU/RRB bank:

“I’m getting reports that one of your officers comes late every day. This indiscipline will not be tolerated.”

The Branch Manager replied respectfully:
“Yes sir. I’m aware. I gave him a 30-minute reporting-time adjustment.”

The RM reacted sharply:
“Why did you do that? You are doing wrong for the bank.”

The BM explained:
Sir, his wife passed away last year. Every morning, he drops his young daughter to school. There is no one else at home.

The RM interrupted coldly:
I don’t care about personal problems.

The Branch Manager still tried to reason:
Sir, before this adjustment, his performance was average. He was under constant stress.

After the adjustment:
• His attendance is regular
• Business and recovery improved
• Operational errors reduced
• Customer complaints dropped”

The RM cut him off: I don’t care about performance. I don’t care about output.

I want him to report in the morning.
And I want him to sit late in the evening.

That is discipline. That is PSU/RRB banking.

The Branch Manager had nothing more to say.
This is the ground reality in many PSU and RRB banks.

Not productivity.
Not outcomes.
Not humanity.

Only physical presence.
Only control.
Only fear.

This is not leadership.
This is command-and-control management.

Banks don’t suffer due to lazy staff.
They suffer because empathy is treated as a weakness.

बैंकर्स को एक जरा सी बात पर कह देने वाले कि- तुम्हें हमारी वजह से सैलरी म���लती है, आज एयरपोर्ट पर मजबूर से खड़े है अब उनके मुंह से आवाज नहीं निकल रही।

जिन अमीर और “एलीट क्लास” पढ़े-लिखे लोगों को हर रोज़ यह शिकायत रहती है कि सारे सरकारी संस्थान बंद कर दो, सब कुछ प्राइवेट को दे दो। उनक�� नहीं पता कि असली सर्विस सरकारी संस्थान ही देते हैं।

उन्हीं एलीट क्लास लोगों में से कई पिछले चार दिन से एयरपोर्ट पर फंसे पड़े हैं। किसी की फ्लाइट शिफ्ट हो गई, किसी की कैंसिल, कोई टर्मिनल में ही रात काट रहा है।
लेकिन मज़े की बात कि
आज तक किसी को यह कहते नहीं सुना कि हमारे पैसे से तुम्हें सैलरी मिलती है।
(जबकि ये लाइन वे सरकारी बैंक में बेझिझक बोल देते हैं)

🤔 क्यों?
क्योंकि यहाँ सामने सरकारी कर्मचारी नहीं, एक सुपर प्रीमियम प्राइवेट ब्रांड की यूनिफॉर्म दिख रही है।
और यूनिफॉर्म देखकर व्यवहार भी बदल जाता है।

थोड़े तथ्य भी सुन लीजिए

1️⃣ एयरपोर्ट और एयरलाइंस- 90% प्राइवेट हैं
ज़्यादातर बड़े एयरपोर्ट PPP मॉडल पर निजी कंपनियाँ चलाती हैं।
एयरलाइंस तो पूरी तरह प्राइवेट—और लेट, मिस मैनेजमेंट, ओवर बुकिंग इनके “सुपर सर्विस” का हिस्सा है।

2️⃣ भारत में बैंकिंग- संकट के समय निजी बैंक भागे, बचाया सरकारी ने
YES बैंक डूबा - बचाया SBI ने
ICICI पर संकट आया - स्थिरता सरकार ने दी
निजी बैंक ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में शाखाएँ खोलने से बचते हैं
सरकारी बैंक अकेले 60% देश की आबादी तक पहुँच रखते हैं

3️⃣ कोविड के समय- हवाई यात्रा बंद, निजी अस्पतालों ने दुगुना पैसा माँगा लेकिन
सरकारी अस्पताल, सरकारी बैंक, सरकारी बस सबने बिना भेदभाव सेवा दी।

⚡ फिर भी दोष?
लाइन में लगना - सरकारी की गलती
लोन में देरी - सरकारी की गलती
ATM में भीड़ - सरकार की गलती

लेकिन एयरलाइन घंटों रोक दे, 2–2 दिन एयरपोर्ट पर भटकाओ
“अरे भाई, ये तो अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानक हैं… ऐसा ह�� जाता है।”

असली सवाल
सरकारी हो तो गाली,
प्राइवेट हो तो “साहब, कोई बात नहीं”…
ये दोहरा रवैया ही सबसे बड़ा मुद्दा है।
इसलिए सरकारी विभाग और सरकारी कर्मचारी से नफरत करना बंद करो।
