Tarik Skubal: “Every team could trade for me. I don’t sympathize with people that blame the Dodgers for anything they’ve done. It’s a winning org…I really don’t sympathize with people that are complaining because the Dodgers do all the right things.”
WAPO reporter doubles down: You didn’t say that you condemn white supremacy though.
She immediately regrets it.
@VivekGRamaswamy isn’t going to play the game.
At their best, I think, the left prioritizes compassion & idealism, and the right prioritizes truth & pragmatism. Both sides are valuable in society. Unfortunately, both are too often captured by the extremes, and so we're rarely seeing the left or the right at their best.
The thing about the posters of kidnapped Israeli children is that of course it's propaganda. It's not as if anyone seeing one of them in e. g. Boston could potentially find the kids, like with a more traditional missing child poster.
It's clearly an attempt by pro-Israeli activists to paint Israel as the victim, in the same way as pro-Palestinian activist use images of horrors in Gaza to paint the Palestinians as victims. But it's still fucking weird and messed up to tear them down, because the kids really were abducted and that's really bad.
What is funny is that, by tearing them down, these people are actually helping Israel a lot more than the posters themselves would, by making pro-Palestinian activists look like psychos.
All this sign stealing reminds me of Mike Leach.
As Oklahoma’s OC before the 1999 Red River Rivalry, Leach devised a fake call sheet to fool Texas.
The sheet was “misplaced”. A Texas GA picked it up. OU scored 29 secs into the game.
The Pirate, forever.
@girdley Being part of a customer success org, I’m shocked how difficult it is for the exec teams to select KPIs that can objectively show the value they are getting from their applications. There’s often an underlying fear of what it will mean if their objectives are not being met.
Financial statements show a company's past.
But… How do you predict the future of your business?
You need a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) system.
Here’s how I do them. 🧵
