A great #KubeConEU in Paris! We were so excited to see over 50 community event organizers from KCDs to European community groups across the globe. And we are proud of the representation on the keynote stage and the project pavilion.👏🏻💪🏾🤟

The Lunar Excursion Vehicle 2 (LEV-2 / SORA-Q) has successfully taken an image of the #SLIM spacecraft on the Moon. LEV-2 is the world’s first robot to conduct fully autonomous exploration on the lunar surface.
@chibat_p3f We are always looking for more Platform people! But we are especially lucky to have the contribution and support of our engineers. They really understand and appreciate the idea of self-service, and do a lot of CI/CD and Terraform themselves.
@threetreeslight Why 9 projects in a year? Not all projects take 6 weeks to complete. We use Cycles as time, but also for Planning and Deadlines.
The idea with Projects is to limit scope, make it smaller and smaller, so it only has one goal.
@miholovesq 2: So instead of changing the 6-weeks, we first made projects smaller in scope. Now, we remained at 6-week cycles, but we fit One large project and 2-3 small ones or a Research project. We always talk at Cycle Retro about how many weeks.
@miholovesq Sure! We took the original idea from #Basecamp and @37signals. We started with 6-weeks. We saw that our Our projects were quite large, so we could only work on one at a time. Some work is not easy to do it parallel, so we wanted smaller projects, and more collaboration.
@shirara1 It's true, there is no separate SRE team. Each team has production responsibility. So SRE role is owned by each team. Including the Platform team: we are responsible for running the clusters and the network.
@tzkb This idea is older. I'm happy to see more people talking about it. We have been using this idea of Pillars for about one year, and we adapted it to our size and work.
@shirara1 We started with Pillars over 1 year ago, and adapted it to our size and work. It's the same idea as in the article. I am happy to see that others find this useful.
I'm happy to share that we're organizing #Kubernetes community days #Romania in #bucharest! A conference for and by the #CloudNative community of Romania.
Save the date on May 23, 2024.
Looking for sponsors! #kcd#cncf
