I recall my university years when I was successful in the SRC elections. We considered ourselves to be quite revolutionary at the time. In that phase of life, one might believe they possess a monopoly on knowledge and wisdom, which could be described as a period of intellectual adolescence. This intellectual adolescence can be particularly influenced by the tenets of Marxism and Leninism. We often discussed how human development was thought to progress from primitive accumulation, through capitalism, then to socialism, and ultimately to communism, state withers and we leave in Shangri-La Eldorado the land of God. (a utopian society.)
However, it is now understood that such an outcome is unlikely. The reality of the world often involves intense competition.
One day, we shall write a book. In that book, we shall eliminate phrases such as "Think outside the box," instead suggesting "Think without the box" or "Eliminate the box." We will also replace "The sky is the limit" with "Forget the sky; think about the Galaxies." Furthermore, we will change "Hit the iron while it's hot" to "Hit the iron so that it becomes hot."
🇺🇦🇷🇺 Russians found a wounded Ukranian soldier, who was left behind by his unit.
They were taking him in, but for some reason there was a grenade close to him.
A Russian soldier saw the grenade and shouted: “Tonja a grenade
Tonja answered: “Not ours”
Other Russian soldiers freaked out and shot the poor guy.
-> I’d rather they would ask him to put his hands up and remove the threat, but you see how it ended. Sad.
It happens that soldiers blow themselves up to avoid captivity or/and are booby trapped. (I posted such videos)
Shall we be silent about the Mozambican situation? No. The destabilization agenda and neocolonial drive is moving to another level. The dirty hand of the colonizer is evident. The ultimate goal is to make the region ungovernable. Part of the hybrid warfare. We're alive!
@nelsonchamisa The recently inaugurated president of Batswana never spoke ill of his own country to foreigners. That's Lesson number 1 you should bring home
Societies are dynamic… There are people who are RESISTANT to social change but they are fighting a lost battle…. The Shona language is now one of the WIDELY spoken languages in South Africa, that won’t change …
South African soapies have since factored that in.., 👇🏽
The ZANU PF Annual People's Conference Promises To Be An Explosive Affair!
We are now primed to experience political theatre of the highest order as ZANU PF gathers for its annual people's conference.
Amidst the pretence around focusing on the run-of-the mill government and party policies, the elephant in the room is succession politics and ED's obsession with extending his tenure beyond 2028.
In many ways, we are back to the savage internecine strife we witnessed circa 2011 - 17, which saw General Solomon Mujuru's suspicious horrific death in a ball of fire at his Beatrice Farm paving the way for his wife's dramatic fall from power via a choreographed expulsion from the party and state vice presidency.
That sequence of events left ED a heartbeat away from the presidency, which he ultimately achieved via an equally dramatic coup which left the whole world spellbound as the curtain finally fell on Robert Mugabe's near 40 year stranglehold on power.
During the tense & topsy turvy negotiations which culminated in Mugabe's eventual capitulation after his infamous Asante Sana speech, he had reportedly warned one of the current VPs & then CDF Chiwenga to be wary of being deceived of ED - and encouraged him to go for the jugular himself!
It's unclear whether or not the unsolicited advice was sincere or a desperate play at political survival amidst impending oblivion - as such a move by Chiwenga would have undoubtedly shattered the veneer of legality that the conspirators were clinging onto.
It would have been unfathomable to many but a few seasoned political analysts then that barely a decade later, ED & Chiwengwa would now be involved in their own version of Russian Roulette / political brinksmanship!
In the lead up to the Conference, there have been a series of acts of political theatre pregnant with political meaning and consequence.
This includes ED dabbling in mythology and the spiritual realm via his choreographed coronation as King Mwenemutapa from an ancient Shona Kingdom as well as poetic & religious exhortations from various traditional & religious zealots.
The party has also been commandeered into doling out churlish sycophantic pro ED 2030 jingles by a host of party youths & officials.
ED's repeated denials of an interest in pursuing this highly dangerous & destabilising tilt at what would effectively be a life presidency have unsurprisingly failed to convince given the vast chasm between the rhetoric & the choreographed events from his lieutenants.
Ahead of the conference, we have been confronted with pro Mabel Chinonoma T-Shirts suggesting that she is hell bent on dethroning Chiwengwa as one of the VPs amidst charges that she is doing ED's bidding in a not too dissimilar manoeuvre from the one ED previously suffered at the hands of a cunning Bob in 2004, when Joice Mujuru was surreptitiously roped in at the last minute to decapitate ED's political ambitions.
At this moment in time, it's unclear whether or not this a shrewd or desperate and reckless move on the political chessboard from ED.
While many are arguing that it's unprocedural for political contests to be taking place as it's not an elective Congress, this is irrelevant given ZANU PF's chequered history & relationship with Constitutionalism.
What is not in doubt is that ED's faction appears as if they are increasingly feeling the urgency and necessity of defenestrating Chiwenga.
If that's the case, we should not be surprised as perhaps they learnt a thing or two from how staying in the race long enough in 2017 ultimately served ED a treat in toppling Bob!
In short, the longer one stays in the game in such a duel, the more the law of unpredictability could potentially work to their advantage.
Indeed as we saw with Bob in November 2017 - even seasoned political campaigners can lose their nerve in the heat of the battle.
In this sequence the roles have been dramatically reversed. ED & Chiwengwa are both apex predators. They are taking it in turns - in one instance one can be the predator, in another the prey & vice versa.
They know way too much about each other's moves on the political chessboard. They can both attack and counter attack and their tentacles are evenly spread throughout the deep state!
Morality, democracy & constitutionalism does not come into it. They both previously conspired to shred the national Constitution and lived to tell the story after they triumphed so gloriously in their endeavour.
It is a duel about "honour", entitlement & sharing the spoils of a tainted "victory" between co-conspirators in the very long aftermath of the coup.
The pro Chiwenga T-Shirts that we have seen suggests that he feels he now has to come out into the open with his political sword & stake his claim or else it becomes a moment too late.
ED's unconvincing explanation for missing the UN Summit in New York a few weeks ago means that there are plausible reasons to conclude that he has been unnerved and knows that he has got a real battle on his hands - with a desperately dangerous foe - which leaves the outcome uncertain and the balance!
A lot is at stake in this duel - literally personally for both of them - and for the troubled nation of Zimbabwe, which has never experienced a peaceful transition since independence.
We are indeed primed for explosive political theatre & intrigue of the highest order over the next few days and into the New Year - which will see many new Kudzai Chipangas & G40s of the current season dramatically forced into perilous journeys to save soul, life & limb!
It's danger o'clock in ZANU PF akin to the world famous wildlife migration of Wildebeest & Zebras crossing the Mara River across the Savannah plains of Masai Mara & Serengeti National Park!
Former CIO directors chose the last few weeks, to publish biographies, detailing their views on Zim politics.
One is by Happyton Bonyongwe, & the other by Lovemore Mukandi. Bonyongwe was promoted from the CIO. Mukandi was fired from it.
It’s a coincidence. Maybe it’s not,
Many Africans think that Europeans especially France and Americans are here in Africa to support and help them grow. But they are definitely here to exploit the continent, introduce terrorist and devastate their economy using IMF.
DID YOU KNOW?
